Which one of the 100+ supporters were you at the match?

If you were not at the match what qualifies you to comment?

Yes the team did not perform, which speaking to the players after the match they made that quite clear that they were not happy with their performance, however they strongly believe that they will win at Perth and progress to next round.

I would qualify that with provided all supporters give the team the full backing throughout the match and stop the negative comments.

Are you going or are you just an internet moaner?

    Phew, that's a feckin relief.

    You won't be missed.
Now, if only you would disappear off here, that would also be a relief.

Of course his opinion is more valid than yours (or mine for that matter). He was at the game. As for resorting to insults, you're more than willing to go down that road yourself so stop crying like a wee lassie.

What's with some of us on here?
We start a thread to say all the best to TC and we end up criticising someone else who, to me personally, has always been friendly and helpful.
    Same with the club charter.
We seem to think that the club owe us explanations about everything or are entitled to a personal thankyou.
If I'd been running the site it would have been shut down maybe two years ago. It's become a poor reflection of what it once was. You wouldn't think we all had the same aim of supporting our team.
I know, if you don't like it don't come on and post, but I have found more maturity at a toddler group I sometimes have helped at than I find we collectively display on here.

My understanding is that the charter company indicated that they would be putting on a plane of 130 seats rather than 100 as originally stated at no extra cost to the club.

This is where the additional seats have come from at a late stage and therefore it would have been unfair to deal with any other way than the offer made to those already booked

It would not have been practicable to recalculate the cost and then try to fill with htose that had rejected the original price and probably could not now go due to cancelling holidays and work commitments.

Yes I did book at original price and took up the offer of an additional place.

Surely the club can also do whatever the hell they want. They chartered the plane, they can sell seats to whoever they want for whatever price they want.

I don't understand why fans have some god given right to be given free/cheap deals by the club?

To be honest, I find the whole toys out the pram 'what about me?' Attitude extremely cringeworthy.

Can't remember Steve Brown admitting to making any mistakes. And if by player you mean Roddy, then he was in the job last year when you made your original post. Maybe, just maybe, the chairman had a plan last year and by following that plan he was able to sanction earlier signings this year. Maybe he knew what he was doing all along. Maybe he is much more competent than you gave him credit for. But you keep trying to convince yourself that he read you piece of drivel and thought you were right. Whatever makes you feel good. I know which version I believe though

Scumdee will want to stuff Arabs for bragging rights over summer.

Perhaps, but not if we would have to go into debt to do it, which might have been the case.

It amazes me the number of people who think they could do a better job than the current chairman, under whose three-year leadership we have never finished out of the top six, seen our first player capped for more than 70 years, appeared in Europe three seasons in succession and won our only major competition in our 129-year history. All while recording our first - albeit modest - profit in what must be a decade and continuing to stay out of debt as other clubs collapsed around us.

Now some of that may have happened if he wasn't chairman. But if we're scapegoating him for a few bad results, I don't think it's unfair to remind people of just how well we've done recently.

I don't know Steve Brown, and I'm not privy to what's happening in the background at McDiarmid. I'd have liked us to re-sign Stevie May as much as the next person. There are, no doubt, things he could do better. But I do know he's not being paid for his role and he puts in a lot more hours at the club than anyone on this forum. I think we need to get some perspective. There aren't many chairmen of provincial clubs I'd swap him for.
