  1. If this is true and he will / has signed, I think it can only be positive. We are in dire need of a creative midfielder who can play the ball FORWARD and even shoot at the goal... Should also put another 10/20 (??!??) on the attendance... Feeling really positive about this - big game on Saturday!

  3. Apparently in todays papers - Boyd - who has played in Scotland, England, Turkey (err... very briefly) and the US - thinks that 9 out of 10 Scottish players (playing in Scotland) are not as good as they think they are..... I sometimes tell this story to anyone who will listen.... when i was a wee boy (about 12) i thought I was a good player (and i was told I was regularly). I won a competition to spend a week at 'Bobby Charlton's Soccer School' in Manchester and spent a week there on my tod with a group of 15 boys of the same age (from england) and quickly realised that out of the group of 15.... I was about the 14th best player. Really burst my bubble at the time but i realised that playing football at a higher level (even at that age) was not as easy as i thought. The standard of Scottish football is not the best. Sometimes the fans perhaps realise this more than the players who think they are 'top pro's' but sometimes i think they fail to realise that they are in a very small fish bowl. Most people can reel off a number of young Scots who have had hot air blown up their arses by the Scottish media and gone to england and disappeared/failed to score/failed to do anything and then ran back up to Scotland as fast as they could...
  4. From the Bbc website..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26877820 Sorry. But I've just wet myself...
  5. Spare ticket in Saints end. Last minute. Meet outside. Perth people please....
  6. Sorry can't quote properly.... "..... probably just consist of a few pints in 208 prior and after the match and nothing else" Balls... That's what I do every week..... Where am I going wrong??
  7. Is injured. For 12 weeks apparently... Poor chap.
  8. ??? If you weren't there, go and have a look at the 8 minute highlights of the Livingston match in the Livingston thread (funnily enough) - he lost the ball at least twice EVEN in those highlights... And why get plaudits for going on twitter for apologising for being shite.... put your phone down - and spend an extra (50) hour (s) on the training pitch improving your sharpness. Not a fan. Away and make some amusing video for you tube or sit on Sportscene on sunday night and spout some pish...
  9. Cheers LIVItv. Not having a go at Chris Millar (well actually I am..) but did anyone else notice him being easily 'robbed' of the ball twice and then some really shoddy back tracking which almost led to a goal - and this is against Livingston - and not a very very strong midfield, like, err.. say Aberdeen. Once again, he can't play out wide - he isn't a winger...
  10. Chris Millar can't hit it 10 yards never mind 30........
  11. Hey. Its pick on Ando time.... The only reason the centre backs are booting it up in the air is because (9 times out of ten) the midfield has shat it going forward and passes the ball backwards to our CB's expecting them to deliver a Beckham-esqe 40 yard pass to the feet of Nigel or Wotherspoon....... This becomes 10 out of ten when Chris Millar is playing (its pick on Chris Millar time tomorrow....) - he is unable to play a forward pass and don't talk to me about him even trying to shoot at goal..... The midfield is where I think the current problems lie. Paddy Cregg - can he not play Rosenburg every week? Nigel can't defend / track back. Muzz - not in top form. McDonald - why is he not back in the side? Chris Millar cannot play wide - therefore no place for him if Muzz / Cregg or McDonald is playing... Right. Eat me.
