  1. Paton should never have started, he was an utter cart horse every minute he played. The fact that we improved greatly when Miller replaced him showed he should have been playing from the start, even if he could only manage 60 minutes it would have been an entirely different game. Another thing that a lot of haters will jump on is the fact that had we managed to get MOH on loan or whatever, with his pace and their full backs he would have destroyed them! Even pre purple patch MOH. Oh and another thing Tommy, WE NEED A ****ING STRIKER!!!!!!!!!

  3. Been told by a Sevconian colleague that we are also playing a closed door game against that lot through in Glasgow also.
  4. It appears to have been snowing in Dundeh
  5. Other than a select handful it’s pretty much only ‘the exiles’ that even post on WAP anymore, yeah others will pop on to have a read to try and find info about transfer news etc… but apart from that you have the place to yourself anyway. I’d also say the reason for the other supporters forums becoming so largely in active is the fact that social media sites like Facebook offer a far better service for keeping everyone that wants to be informed via closed group pages, i.e. as soon as someone wishes to post some information everyone in said group will receive a notification on their phone as opposed to having to log on here just in case.
  6. So Saint Jet and myself both ended up being correct, no arguments from me after that result.
  7. Ha ha, well if you believe in tempting fate, you're very welcome
  8. I sincerely hope you're kidding. You would rather play Thomson ahead of Swanson against the 2nd best team in the country in a game where even a point can be seen as a victory with securing 4th in mind? I'm sure he's a decent enough lad, but Thomson is not good enough for Premiership football, I'm pretty sure he's struggle in the Championship if I'm entirely honest with my opinion. Considering he looks utterly lost against lower Premiership opposition Aberdeen would chew him up and spit him back out again! Swanson on the other hand, is our best player. Like it or lump it, he was the only one that managed to drag the rest of the team into competing with Aberdeen a couple of weeks ago. To drop him just because a minority (and you are by the way) of fans have got there knickers in a twist because the inevitable has happened and he is moving on is utterly ludicrous. Swanson is still being paid a wage to do a job and therefore should be utilized to do so in our remaining games. As for not awarding the player of the year, The Player of the Year award because some fans are in the cream puff with him? Grow up!!!
  9. Hated? Dundee are entirely insignificant, hate the OF aye but the rest of us are all in the same boat as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't even call the games between Saints and Dundee/United derbies, rivalries maybe but I'm very much coming round to the concept that a derby is between teams of the same City or Town, not some f**kers 40 odd miles down the road.
  10. Yeah, fair enough about Fir Hill. I can't even remember what year it was last time I was at Ayr (A long, long time ago) so probably reflecting on it from a very hazy pre teen memory.
  11. Well if you just take into account the average attendances, modern facilites and forget about asthetics i.e. a stand missing etc... Going by league table standing i'd say... Parkhead - Yes Pittodrie - No Ibrox - Yes Tynecastle - Intermediate soon to be Yes McDiarmid - Yes Fir Hill - Yes Dens Park - No Rugby Park - Yes, however Mainstand is a no Victoria Park - Yes Fir Park - Yes, however Mainstand is a no New Douglas Park - Yes Tulloch Caledonian - Yes Easter Road - Yes Falkirk Stadium - Yes Tannadice - Just makes a Yes Cappielow - No Palmerston - No East End Park - Yes Dumbarton - Yes Starks Park - Just makes a Yes Somerset Park - Yes Paisley 2021 - Yes and so on... Just my personal opinion of these grounds based on my own experiences at each
  12. Could tell that was Alston within seconds!
  13. Mince! The only time you see Cummings these days is when he is chucked on in the last ten minutes when we've decided to play hoofball after running out of steam and ideas. He literally only touches the ball with the head when he tries to knock it on to Macca after it's punted from our own box. It might rarely come off but to claim that he is rooted to the ground is a rank exaggeration.
  14. I'd take a punt on him, wiki has him down as a Striker/left winger so could also slip into Swanson's position if unavailable or subbed now that Coulson looks to be out for a while. Craig just doesn't have the pace to play out wide anymore! Kane is getting better but is still far from the player everyone expects or wants him to be. As for Cummins, he runs his arse off when he comes on and is good in the air, but just doesn't seem to be the same player we had last year, well off the pace. Loy may very well be the type of player Wright can get the best out of/rejuvenate his career after flagging under Hartley.
  15. I'd go with that albeit swap Coulson for Swanson myself
  16. Don't know about anyone else but I'm starting to warm to Coulson. I was impressed with his commitment to the cause against Hearts and Aberdeen lately, uses his upper body strength very well and he certainly doesn't shirk a challenge. Maybe if he could regain his composure on the ball in the final third that he appeared to have at York we could have a half decent number 10 there.
  17. Yeah I know eh, Five consecutive top six finishes, four seasons in a row qualifying for Europe and the Scottish Cup. Utter sh1te isn't it.
  18. Post match interview Swanson stated that his wife is due for a C section on Monday so quite a big chance he'll be given leave for this game.
  19. Cut out the middle man and just order it yourself online. Fantastic service and only took a week to ship from The Netherlands. http://www.copafootball.com/en/search?keyword=st johnstone Just received mine on Saturday, sods law I was already en-route to Elgin at the time so couldn't wear it to the game. Cracking presentation as well I must say.
  20. They have Save the Children on their home kits. Although as it's not technically a sponsor I think they have dropped it to keep with the heritage theme. That though is also howfin
  21. Nope, it's still stinking rotten
  22. No Idea, it would appear to be entirely free as neither club has said squat about admission prices. Wishful thinking, though I reckon £10-£15 would be reasonable
  23. It would appear they are now only showing information for the next day's planned strike, makes sense as they may come to an agreement before the next. However last week they were showing the full details for the pending strikes...
