  1. Doubt Brown will be that bothered. Doesn't have to fork out for a charter and the golf courses in Kazakhstan probably aren't up to much anyway.
  2. I'll be heading back down the road after the game if you still need a lift.

    Ticket Office

It wasn't me, before anyone says anything. As previously stated I have found the staff nothing but helpful and polite when I've attended the ticket office. My only beef is the inconvenience of having to drive up to Perth because I can never get through on the phone. Ever. It would seem that other people also experience a degree of inconvenience of frustration, but that really is no reason to take it out on the staff. The sooner the club moves to a an electronic ticking system the better for everyone it would seem
  4. Great gesture from the club. One question, why is it always Muzz in these kind of photos? Is he the only player that lives in Perth or answers his phone?
  5. I have to say I agree. When does a flag become a political symbol exactly? Could the Saltire's association, rightly or wrongly, with the Yes movement be considered political? After all it's not a national flag, nationhood was voted down. Barcelona are getting it tight for their supporters flying the Estelada flag as an example. It's all a complete nonsense. I understand that one man, Brown, isn't going to change UEFA's policy here, but his apparent lack of concern or voice on the issue should be a concern to the all supporters. With regards flares, pyrotechnics and pitch invasions; they are all prohibited anyway. The stewards and the police need to grow a set and deal with it pre-emptively.

Did I say I took time off work?

Oh, I agree. The staff are incredibly helpful and this isn't a slight on them by any means. It's just that I can never get through on the ticket line. Ever. Yes, I've tried different phones with other telcos. It just either rings out or is engaged.
  8. Indeed. I think MacLean is at a stage where he cannot be seen as a workhorse any longer. Hold up play etc may be useful but the team doesn't seem to capitalise on this kind of gameplay since May left. I'd prefer a Chris² solution up front.

Brown is the one that keepsmon talking about updating the infrastructure of the club. It's an investment. With crowd figures struggling it hardly seems sense to have a process that's a massive ballache get in the way. I'll tell you now that if I had been working today and unable to be up to Perth before Thursday, I likely wouldn't have bothered going on at all. Yes. And exactly where has the club furnished the public with this information? A detailed seating plan, with season ticketed seats reserved, is hardly a big ask.

Well not to disappoint, I indeed had to drive up to Perth today to get a ticket. I still don't understand this hybrid ticket ticket/cash system. Why not just make it one or the other with the caveat of "don't sit in reserved seats"? I also still don't understand in this day and age why, if you must have all ticket games, tickets cannot be purchased online, printed by the purchaser and scanned at the gate.

I work and live in Glasgow and I have never been able to contact the ticket office over the phone; it's always engaged or rings out . Every single time I've needed a ticket over the last few years I've had to drive up to Perth. Hardly ideal. I can almost guarantee that I will find myself driving up to Perth tomorrow. Now I take that this as a minor personal inconvenience, but my point is that the club is still working with 1970 style transactions. Spend a little cash, put the infrastructure in place and allow fans to perform these pain-free transactions online.

Wouldn't it be nice, given the number of all ticket games in recent seasons, if someone at the club had produced seating plans for the stands? In my experience getting a ticket over the phone from McDiarmid is next to impossible, never mind trying to specify which seats are be requested. Add to that the question of how many people, excluding season ticket holders, actually know which row and seat number they usually sit in? Somehow I can't see, "Aye, hen. I sit in the East Stand. Yellow seats. Kind of in the middle. Near the back. Ish." as working out very well for the caller or the poor staff in the office. In this day and age there should be the ability to purchase these online, specifying your seat/seats and print your ticket. Take it along to a specified turnstile on the day and get it checked against a list. Or oven more 21st century, get the barcode scanned. I understand that this kind of infrastructure costs money, but I wonder if anyone at the club has even bothered to look at costings.
  13. Could they not use the pitch behind the East stand? Big enough, and it's money in the club's pocket. Obviously there are licencing concerns and bad weather contingency to think about, but it could work.
  14. Does anyone else think league reconstruction will be on the cards again? I'm willing to wager there's a push to have a 16 team top tier by 2016/2017. They won't risk The Rangers missing out again.

  16. I think Brian Easton is extremely underrated in terms of talent and work rate. The guys is an absolute beast and doesn't stop running. He also isn't short of a wee bit of defensive skill either. Never seen him given anything other than solid performances.

    Jokes

My attractive next-door neighbour knocked on my door to warn me that someone had been stealing underwear off of her washing line. I almost sh@ her pants.
  18. As with festivals it's all vetted and the chosen remarks are displayed. Imagine the banter at derby games. That sounds like a plan. Someone should have though of that before now.
  19. Yes. Yes you did. I should learn to read all of people's replies.
  20. Or get a sponsor that will cover it's replacement? Give them sole advertising rights on it for however long.
  21. The thing with May is that it is a business deal. We know he's going to go so we're just ensuring that we get a fee for him. Fair play to the player for recognising that and wanting to work with the club to make sure that happens. So with that in mind isn't it worth just getting him signed sooner rather than later as any money spent over the season will be recouped? He can't be wanting that much more and with Hasselbaink gone surely there's enough wedge available to get a deal done now? Wright's comments about Goodwillie make me wonder if perhaps they're not waiting for May to go to free up cash to land that DAB.
  22. Having a decent sound system with some charisma behind it would be an idea. Most of what comes across is unintelligible, and the bits that I can work out or monotonous crap. No more playing bloody Avicii records either. Christ. I'm old enough to remember when the scoreboard worked. Why not get that working again and hook it up to social media like they do at festivals? Get some banter on the go etc.
  23. I have to agree with the sentiment that Craig wouldn't automatically walk into the Saints' starting eleven at the moment. I don't see his future being back at McDiarmid for a number of reasons though.
  24. I don't think there's an intended bias as such. I simply think they write what their readership wants to read. Don't get me wrong I don't like it any more than you do, but papers can write what they like. If you don't like it don't buy it. With regards Lennon, I think you could say his stint at Celtic was a success. Not an unqualified one, but a success none the less. I'm not sure he leaves any kind of legecy though.
