Went to see Barca v Club Bruges in the Champions League about 6 or 7 years ago. Game finished 3-2 Barca, but was far more one sided than that in reality with Bruges scoring 2 late goals. We sat in the top tier and it was like watching Sensible Soccer. Atmosphere was awful, Bruges fans were all big, scary looking ****ers, but it was good to sit so high up and see the movement off the ball of the Barca players.

Also went to the Skeid v Sarpsborg Norwegian 2nd division match the night before the recent Scotland Norway match. Truly awful football, so we left at half time to go back to the pub.

Crieff Juniors World Tour (well, Spain at least) saw Barcelona - Recreativo in April 09. Iniesta scored after 44 seconds, and the game finished 2 - 0. Messi missed a penalty, he's crap

Sat 5 or 6 rows from the very top, was looking over the edge at half time. Health and safety folk over here would have a fit, the stadium is MASSIVE, and the only thing stopping someone falling off is a wee 4ft wall.

Whilst stationed in the former West Germany went to see Gladbach many times when they were a fine team in the 70s and Hertha Berlin before the wall came down when based there. Saw PSVs home games now and again as well as VVV Venlo. Spent 3 months working in near Cagliari in Sardinia and managed to catch a few games including a game against Inter Milan. Phenominal experience!
