williamwonka
This is global news . I believe the New Zealand rugby team are to wear white arm bands and have a minutes silence. The reason i asked was is,1 of the miners was from Perth so will Saints have a minutes silence as a mark of respect as he was a Perth man who lost his life in a tragic accident that the whole world has viewed on the news. I agree it's tragic and my condolences go out especially to the scots family involved, being a kiwi myself i would not hesitate in participating in a minutes silence. The point I was making was that some people may not deem this appropriate to commemorate at the saints game on Sat. Sorry if it came across in the wrong way. Terrible tragedy but of no relevance to Saints at all. But as O'Rourke said what next a minutes silence for RTAs etc. This whole minutes silence is really getting out of hand. Hyped up from the complete grief hysteria over reaction to Diana.

I am not saying there should be, only wondering if saints would see fit to have a minutes silence.............. Either sat or at the next home game. ancientsaint
3 months they reckon Can they not use those wee camera things that can go anywhere to see if there is any life at all down there - Hate to think that there might be someone alive that cant wait 3 months to be rescued. Must be some type of technology that can go in ?
Stanleylad
A real sense of grief down here in NZ but the Welsh and All Blacks will show a fitting tribute - rugger buggers and pit lads Utd - RIP

ryangordon86
I'm pretty sure they are positive. The oxygen levels are almost nil so anyone down there would have suffocated. Not a nice way to go.
