I don't know about players but Mr. & Mrs. Starkwell and criminal son Virgil were Saints fans. A documentary was made about them.

The religious affiliation of the Israeli population as of 2019 was 74.2% Jewish, 17.8% Muslim, 2.0% Christian, and 1.6% Druze. The remaining 4.4% included faiths such as Samaritanism and Baháʼí, and "religiously unclassified", the category for all who do not belong to one of the recognized communities.

He’s Israeli, not necessarily Jewish.

I’m going to say he’s Jewish, judging by his  surname and place of birth. Whether he’d be a secular or religious Jew I don’t know, but if I had to guess I’d guess secular. Oh, and it gets dark in Israel by 5pm and snows there sometimes too. If he can score a goal that’ll do for me.  If he scores we can all shout “ken” which is Hebrew for “yes” or “toda” which is thankyou. Welcome Guy.
