#28 - 05/02/12 - Hearts 1-1 Saints - Scottish Cup

Recommended Posts

Diane's pool hall - 5mins from haymarket station up morrison street.

Opens at 8 on a sunday- ok for a pint

Go back and read earlier post on the thread "tickets for Hearts cuptie No.8"

"Even that's not open until 12.30:

http://www.localdatasearch.com/edinb..._hall-10075609

Even Wetherspoons in Edinburgh doesn't sell alcohol until 12.30pm.

It must be down to the Edinburgh Licencsing Board, as the law changed to allow sale of alcohol after 10am on a Sunday, including supermarkets."

OPENS SUNDAY 1230.

May well indeed open at 8 but it doesn't mean that they will serve alcohol from 8! Anyway, I'm buzzing for this game, seems like my last game was ages ago! Hopefully we'll bring a decent crowd through as well :D COYS

Glad to hear you pass it!

Website must be out of date.

However, according to Scottish Licensing Laws, alcohol can't be sold before 10am on a Sunday. Maybe they don't sell alcohol at 8am.

I know the place, i've been in there before. Braw, cheers:D

Not the best idea, you need to be a member if you’re going that early and the clientele don't really mix with football fans if you get my drift.

Where's best to get a pint before the game? Train gets in about 11am. Will there be pubs open before 12.30 on a sunday?

Go down to the Grassmarket - pubs in hotels down there open early on Sundays - try Buddy Milligans

It's OK, we'll be playing a 2-3-5 formation anyway with all our new strikers.

Poor girl was raped for hours, bad patter!

Very true. An Aussie girl who the guy sitting next to me at work knew. Unsurprisingly she's now gone back home to Oz. Lifted in broad daylight in the middle of the afternoon by 2 f**ked up Polish blokes/c**ts. Kind of scary as Nikki used to walk through that underpass most days after work.

Anyhoo, See you boys up the Pol at opening time for beers!

People heading to the polworth for a pre pint?

Indeed, anyone that still has one of the Edinburgh Saints discount cards from the League fixture on the 3rd of December can still use them. If not there should be more handed out on the day.

Tennents usually £2.90 down to £2.60 for Saints fans only.
