Radford 72
Does 4th mean only one qualifying round ?? As what would be third. Apolgies if already posted but as things stand... SPL Winner... Champions League, QR3 SPL Runner-up... Champions League, QR3 Cup Winners... Europa League, QR4 SPL 3rd... Europa League, QR3 SPL 4th... Europa League, QR2 Then potential for SPL 5th to get in as well depending on who wins/reaches Scottish Cup final. Without Rangers, just bump everyone up, so... SPL Winner... Champions League, QR3 SPL 3rd... Champions League, QR3 Cup Winners... Europa League, QR4 SPL 4th... Europa League, QR3 SPL 5th... Europa League, QR2 And there would remain potential for SPL 6th to qualify.

Real Madrid
The chances of this happening have just got even better The useless duo at Ibrox have just said the following "Second, the company accounts cannot realistically be signed off by auditors in a manner that would meet the criteria required by the footballing authorities. Even if the audited financial statements are issued prior to the end of March 2012 we would expect them to be qualified by the auditors such that under UEFA requirements the club will have to satisfy a going concern test confirming how it will continue to be funded until the end of next season. Without knowing who will be the owner of the Club at 31 March, it is impossible to provide suitable comfort in this respect. "Thirdly under UEFA regulations the club must have paid or come to a satisfactory settlement with all social taxes that were outstanding at 31 December 2011. We estimate those social taxes (being PAYE and NIC) to be at least £5m. We cannot now see a scenario where those taxes will have been paid or compromised to the satisfaction of HMRC by the end of March 2012" This weekends cup matches could go a long way to stopping the usual dull Ireland trip for one year. (What's the bets we get an Irish team now)

Edstar101
According to the Metro today, we are not going to make Europe....referring to an interview with Andy Driver and written from a Hearts perspective... "Duff and Phelps yesterday admitted the Ibrox club are almost certain to still be in administration by March 31st, meaning they will be ineligible to play in Europe next term. That would open up the chance to claim the second Champions League place, with Motherwell and Dundee Utd also in the running" Honestly, yet again we don't seem to even exist. Should we win our game in hand, we will be above Utd and Hearts, the closest team to Well...never mind the ridiculous suggestion that Hearts can even catch Motherwell....12 points behind, same games played. Nelly78
Finish fifth, enter at QR3, and you can get German and Spanish teams potentially... Fifth place would do that? Bollocks, I'm getting married 4th August! I just assumed we'd be playing in July if we qualified for Europe and be knocked out by August. Actually, I didn't even once think we'd have any chance of European football when the wedding was booked - our only strikers then were Finnigan, Higgins and May, relegation was more of a worry! Hopefully, if we were playing in QR3, the away game would be the 2nd leg..........

ancientsaint
I presume this bit about finishing 4th would be once the season has been completed and not before the spit ? That would mean we could finish in 5th and head off to Ireland pre-season instead of a europa tie against Tottenham/Arsenal ?
