Johnstoun Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 Motherwell are charging £30 for their champion's league tie. The prices, especially concessions are good value. Quote
PerthSaints_1884 Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 Picked up my season ticket at the club today, they were saying that there has been non stop calls from Turks in Scotland and the rest of the UK regarding buying a ticket. Apparently the club are expecting 400 to turn up in total, pretty ambitious i thought after hearing all the visa issues etc... Quote
john1962 Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 (edited) I agree with that generally Broon and I just watched the game being transmitted but they look more like Hearts/Hibs than Celtic/oldco and so if we get just one goal anything could happen. That possible away goal still is always there. Let's say that everything did go right and they missed their chances and there were no deflected conceded goals and we got the 2nd goal in the last minute then I take it that away goals in Extra Time are not double so 2-0 or 3-1 in ET 3-3 means penalties which means Hasselbank, Tade, Mackay, Calum and whoever. It'll be difficult. As people have said it's about attitude. Might as well have a go. I think away goals count double no matter when they are scored. Wouldnt put money on it though. According to Wiki they count double in extra time with UEFA. Edited July 24, 2012 by john1962 Quote

john1962 Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 Shit, even more dificult. No consolation but apparently it only counts at 90 minutes with CONCACAF. Quote

According to one of the guys we met out there, he mentioned on Facbook they would be bringing more to the tune of 250-300, so about the same as us Quote
slf Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 they are getting the north stand.i wonder how they will get it through customs. Quote
saintj Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 One goal will do me for starters SaintJ and then you never know. One away goal and we're knackered. I'll be happy so long as we give it a good go and do ourselves proud. I keep thinking of Middlesbrough run in the UEFA cup a few years ago, twice they had to score 4 after losing an away goal at home and done it, against good teams as well. A bit of belief can go a long way Quote

I keep thinking of Middlesbrough run in the UEFA cup a few years ago, twice they had to score 4 after losing an away goal at home and done it, against good teams as well. A bit of belief can go a long way I just keep thinking back to Fulham against Juve. Odds firmly stacked against, Cannavaro gets sent off within 10 minutes and Fulham took full advantage. I would say there was a much bigger gulf in class between those two than us two, so all to play for! Quote

Real Madrid Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 One early goal and its all to play for. It's certainly not been too hard to sell going to the game to lots of people and I am into double figures on those who either never go or go to under 5 games a season who have said they will go on Thursday night. Best pre season ever... Quote

Upbeat and loud if possible! Is the PA system on saturday matchday as loud as it goes before the quality begings to decrease or can it be pumped up louder? Quote
ancientsaint Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 should be a full house for this, but it won't IF it is it will cause some chaos-Just imagine folk that pay to get in sitting in Season Ticket holders seats and no suitable seat left when moved from said ticket holders seat. Quote

Correct, they don't. Still, 400 seemed pretty ambitious after the previous numbers thrown about on here, in saying that, would love to see 400+ of an away support. Quote
Aitchy Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 Just away to catch flight back from Turkey now. What a week! Cant wait for Thursday night. Lets get the atmosphere going early doors. Reckon we can get a result! Quote
ANDY5565 Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 (edited) one thing is for sure is...if it is them that qualify..they will have the support of the French Turks, many live in this area...NIMES _MARSEILLES 145 km and add on another forty to ISTRES (ISTRES isnt great for a drink...Vieux Porte Marseilles (but if Marseille loose it is not Istres where the match will be played, but Fos sur mer... is a maritime port...mainly petrol tankers and smells just as braw as any other petrol refineries its wurst than Istres...
