SaintDougie
This has the potential to be a great day out, just up the road and with trains every half an hour as well as only being just over a fiver return we should be aiming to get as many Edinburgh Saints there as possible. Could this be the biggest Edinburgh Saints support we see at a game outside Auld Reekie? Who's all in?

Preferably the 1st Official site saying the 1st, although knowing our luck that'll be changed. http://www.perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk/newsitemsdetail.php?param=2253 Edited November 5, 2012 by SaintDougie

SaintDougie
Just to let you guys know we re goin with the Jeanie bus which is staying in Cowden for a couple of hrs after the match. The Glasgow saints are planning a day out as well and it should be a good crack!!! Sounds good, the trains back to Edinburgh are pretty regular and don't take much time at all from Cowdenbeath so I can see us hanging around for a fair bit as well. livi saint
Time you get the train Saint Dougs? Few pints in Waverly before we head through?
Nelly78
What train are we aiming for then? Usual Ryries meet for the West End Saints for a pint before the choo-choo?

SaintDougie
Right, we have two options. Option A: We either all meet up around the Haymarket area late morning and have a few jars in the pubs there, then get the 12:53 arriving in Cowdenbeath for 13.30 then head to a pub where the other Saints fans are leaving us sufficient time to have a few more jars before kick-off. Or Option B: We meet up at Ryrie’s as mentioned before and get the 11:26 to Cowdenbeath and get ourselves settled in a pub there and continue getting merry. What's the general consensus, A or B? Barnable_fector
First Post! About fricking time! Managed to find my log-in details from yonks ago. I'm up for option B, get settled there nice and early and get tanked. Saves there being a wee stop after a few jars. SaintDougie
Nelly78
I'd rather go for a few beers in Edinburgh, then get a slightly later train through to Cowdenbeath. Two reasons - Cowdenbeath pubs are rough as f**k and, given the weather forecast, there may be a chance the game's called off. Would be crap if we battered through to Cowdenbeath early doors only for the game to be cancelled.
Barnable_fector
Fair point. Didn't think about the likely freezing temperatures and a lack of undersoil heating.
The Blue Saint
Get yourselves through early and enjoy the hospitality in the kingdom of fife!! 5 minutes down the road for me, if the games off then back to mine for a BBQ. SaintDougie
Aye, with the likelyhood of the temperature not getting above 2c over the next week I personally would oppt for option A myself. Would far rather hear the game was off while I was in a nice warm Edinburgh pub than on the train through. Mylesy
Mylesy
Hi Lads, not followed with the Edinburgh Saints before but keen for it this weekend. Hopefully the sun shines on the Cowden pitch. Hate a late postponement! Up for option A if it is still on the cards. Cheers. bigstu
bigstu
option A please.....
ryangordon86
Get yourselves through early and enjoy the hospitality in the kingdom of fife!! 5 minutes down the road for me, if the games off then back to mine for a BBQ. If the games called off due to the weather being too cauld, I don't think it'll be BBQ weather!
