Radford 72 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Massively disappointing performance from Saints on what was a big opportunity for the team. Sad indictment of our performance that you could argue Mannus was our best player. Biakeronroomo 1
dave mc Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Gave it to Cregg, had two great blocking tackles in the box,and seemed up for it.The only others to play ok ,were Mannus,McLean,Cuptie and Abeid imo
ajs Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 has to be mackay, best defender and only decent threat going forward
Kirriesaint Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Went for Alan Mannus as he earned us a point with two great 2nd half saves,Paddy Cregg a close second . Dave McKay,Steve McLean and Abeid had decent games as well, only positive thing to take from game was we never got beat but 2-1 up with a couple of minutes to go playing against 10 men we should've seen the game out
Edstar101 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Cregg for me. Looked up for it and didn't stop running all evening. Mannus saved us from a doing with his two saves at 1-1 and MacLean was close to my vote as well
Jimmy Wallace Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 I went for Dave Mackay, although I thought Paddy Cregg stood out in a very poor midfield.
Saint Paul Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 I went for Cregg - only midfielder to show bite in the tackle and tried to get up and support the striker. Big shout for Mannus too, though. Kept us in the game at times,
The ghost of Jim Morton Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 No brainer this week. Alan Mannus got us a point. rik2304 1
Radford 72 Posted February 28, 2013 Author Report Posted February 28, 2013 Not that it makes Mannus' performance any less acceptable or Wright's much better but notice that the Conroy chance in the second half was actually a fantastic block from Wright and not a Mannus save. I think everyone thought Mannus had saved it. He still had two excellent saves last night though. He's stepped his game up in the past few months and slightly surprised there's been no mention of a new deal for the next couple of seasons yet.
PerthSeany Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 A few saints players performed okay last night, Maclean, Cregg, Mackay & Mannus obviously. Was it just me or was Scobbies first touch last night awful, kept putting himself under pressure when he was in possession. Abeid should of stayed on the park longer as well.
HOODLUM65 Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Not many get pass marks, but went for cuptie.
Saline Saint Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Gone with Mannus, save us being completely embarrassed.
stanley saint Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Had to between mannus, cregg, abeid, Maclean or super dave, I gave it to super dave for his goal and his all round play.
PerthSeany Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 I voted for Dave as well. Solid throughout. Defending or going forward he made good decisions all night
