sjfc.spl.09-10
Heard that the police have went to some of the "drumming" section and banned them from this game?

Oldermoresensiblepack
When you are banned you know it. If any body has been banned for the celtc game fess up. Heard the polis had a word with the "drumming" fans but they would have been put out there and then.
PerthSeany
you need to break the law to be banned... so unless they have done something wrong they cant just ban them? The police would have the cheek to ban some saints fans for the game yet allow quite a few Celtic fans into the game which have actually done a lot worse. The Mystery Man
I smell shite, my boys in the drumming crew and it's made up bollox. I heard its because the police and stewards don't want any trouble and its Celtic fans that have been been banned

SaintSam1884
I heard its because the police and stewards don't want any trouble and its Celtic fans that have been been banned Wouldn't surprise me if certain individuals in the Celtic support who have been identified for causing the damage to Motherwell's ground have either been refused tickets by the club or been told by the police if they travel they will be turned away. At the end of the day, HSF is right - Saints can ban anyone they want. The police can refuse entry to anyone they want. Obviously there has to be a good reason but you don't have to break the law. Being drunk isn't illegal but it might stop you getting in to the ground.
ex-montrosesaintee
This was mentioned to me today too. Suggestion that the police had paid some fans a visit. Be surprised if it's true though.
Dylan-Saints
Several fans banned and been told if they are seen within 100 metres of ground/208 they will be arrested (im not one), also no flags/banners allowed, ****ing disgrace
ex-montrosesaintee
What are they banned for Dylan? Just because trouble is expected? Is it just for this game? Is it an attempt to ensure any trouble is 100% Celtic's fans to avoid any backlash on Saints? Dylan-Saints
Football Disorderly, this game for now but this is "only the start"
ex-montrosesaintee
While I think it is ridiculous, I can see the club may be very concerned about the possibility of trouble and the massively pro-Glasgow anti-saints media. Any retaliation from saints fans could be disastrous for the clubs reputation. However, the club could simply have delivered that message to all saints fans. If this is a windup, then it's not funny by the way. gusaintie

Exactly HSF is 100% right if it is Celtic fans that have been banned i say well done Saints because i certainly don't want them coming and doing what they did at Motherwell

Ali91
How can the club have had any say in this if the police are threatening arrests if people are near the 208? Either that bit isn't true or it has nothing to do with the club?
ryangordon86
Bullshit. The police are a bunch of useless c''ts. I doubt anyone is legally banned without a court banning order. Unless they have been issued I'd be attending regardless. I can't see why the club would ask anyone not to attend, this is no different to any other game. ryangordon86
Dylan. I'm pretty sure an asbo would need to be issued to ban someone from a certain area. Judges dont issue these for nothing. You and your mates can travel safely. Edited December 22, 2013 by ryangordon86
