Monday Night Football @mcdiarmid Astro:teams And Man Of The Match Votes Thread For February 10 Th 2014 :game 06/14

I'm the same...played 6-a-side every Thursday for 20 years with, on the whole, the same group of guys. Most of them are older than me and when I was playing, they were in their late 40's, early 50's through to some fit guys that were hitting 60. I always imagined that would be me playing as I hit 50 etc etc.

They still play Thursday....I can't. It is depressing.

I always remember the specialist asking me if I liked cyling...."not really" was my response. I now cycle to work every day (where possible), go out at weekends and am planning to do Hadrians Wall in June (180 miles over 3 days) with some mates. LOVE being out on the mountain bike now....okay, I miss the competitive edge and the challenge is more within yourself, but I reckon I have found something to replace playing football.

My lad plays now, so reliving my years playing through him ^_^

Edd, Chances are you will know each other, if only slightly Steve would probably have lined up for Ormond Saints against WAP at one point.
