ancientsaint
Just received the following via one of the bus companies taking people from BAROSSA ST on the 17th May 2014. " We have received notification that POLICE SCOTLAND -WILL - be stopping and searching coaches' en-route to the Dundee Utd v St.Johnstone fixture at Celtic Park Glasgow. The Police WILL be searching for Alcohol onboard the vehicle, and this also includes UNOPENED alcohol where the seal/tin are intact. This notice is served as a reminder that the carrying and consumption of alcohol on board PCV coaches is illegal when travelling to a sporting event in Scotland. SHOULD anyone be found in possession the will receive a fixed penalty PLUS the bus may turned back if ANYONE contavenes the act. SEVERAL of the companies have advised their drivers IF this occurs to IMMEDIATEL return to the starting point of the journey AND NOT continue to the FINAL. WE SHOULD NOT have this problem as we are booked into premises before the game AND I , FOR ONE, Would NOT like to be the person who breaks this law IF the rest of the bus has to head back to Perthshire and miss this possible piece of history, THEREFOR --------NO ALCOHOL -------lets get there and enjoy the day. Thank You. HOODLUM65, patron saint and fazman1977
