Sack 'em

Doncaster has been banging on about how Scottish football has to have the mighty Gers in the top league to be successful But to get sponsors he has to big-up Scottish football, and tell them how good it is without the mighty ones in the top league.  He can't do both, so clearly he has chosen the pro-Rangers pronouncements at the expense of wooing sponsors, who now all believe that Scottish football is crap as it stands.

Well played you muppet.

Hearn makes some great points. Two donkeys can make a race & be entertaining.

How they have not sacked Dungcaster by now I don`t know.

His only answer is we have to get Sevco back in SPL.

He does not appear to have done anything to sell Scottish football. He has done nothing.

He has allowed Sky & BT to get tv rights cheap whilst allowing them to ****up crowds with stupid kick off times.

Hearn is totally right in pretty much everything he says. Doncaster and co were burnt in the rangers saga and should have been out after that. Comments actually made by them or not about Armageddon etc will have put any potential sponsors right off. Why would any company invest, when the guy sitting opposite you trying to sell the product, has and continues to tell people that it is somehow diminished?!?

No one wants to be associated with that shower...

That said, the real power for change sits with the clubs. Essentially doncaster is their employee and if they wanted to, could get rid of him. Saints obviously have to therefore take some of the blame, although I understand that brown has voiced his displeasure over the lack of sponsor.

Your right...the power in Scottish Football is with all the other clubs outside of the glasgow two, unfortunately not enough of our SPFL chairmen realise this otherwise they would get together and sack Neil Doncaster, afterall he is their own employee!

Too many club chairmen throughout the whole of Scottish Football have supported a strong Celtic and Rangers due to money they have generated in the game and brought to individual clubs at certain times, however I believe they are now suffering the consequence of decades of Rangers and Celtic dominance, picking off the best of other clubs talented players at a cheap price and the realisation of many football supporters that their own club will be left to feed of the scraps!

How long does Neil Doncaster and our own chairmen believe fans will continue to attend, if they know that the chance of a team outside of Celtic or Rangers winning the league, or a trophy is over before a ball is kicked!

This is probably the best chance all the other clubs have to bring finances into line and build their teams without the necessity to offer huge salaries, however all we hear from the media is how poor our game is without a strong Rangers or a strong Celtic when they are unable to challenge in the Champions League! That very same media should be singing the praises of Motherwell for competing at the top over the last few seasons, our own club for winning the Scottish Cup and many other clubs outwith Celtic and Rangers who made their respective league competitive and secured great results in cup competitions!

Unfortunately the media is dominated by ex Celtic, ex Rangers players or supporters who cannot see that this dominance is killing scottish football as a spectacle.
