I would like to be put on the agenda to discuss that WAP EXILES are entitled to a discounted membership OR have total rights to walk in to the club.We would be happy with either concession :cool:   

 

 

You can be signed in by a member HOWEVER you cannot put currency notes in the strippers garter -You have to be a full member to do that.

as a number of our members live in thailand, Philippines, Singapore, blairgowrie etc, striper garters is not a pulling pointt for them. Discount accepted though.

WAP Barossa Street Saints Meeting Minutes - 30th April 2015

Present -

Gavin Stewart, Iain Grant, Dan Shek, Kathy Anderson and

Garry Bannerman, Mike MacKechnie and Roy McEwan

 

Gavin opens the meeting, reads out apologies from Alan Milne and Louise Macgregor.

There were no minutes to be discussed from previous meeting (2nd April).

Agenda

There was a change to the agenda with regards to the need for an AGM. Gav explained the constitutional process for calling an AGM. There is a requirement of a minimum 21 days notice prior to the AGM. The information regarding the AGM will be posted on face book and on WAP (we are perth). The AGM will be held on Sunday 28th June at 3pm.

Name Change

There was a discussion regarding a possible name change from WAP Barrosa Street to Barrosa Street Saints. This issue will be raised at the AGM.

 

Home/Away Buses

Iain spoke about how the buses for home and away matches have started to pick up compared to last months figures. 41 on the Dundee bus and costs being covered well. However there are some people who are booking buses and are not turning up on the day so other people could have these spaces. Bus has been booked for Aberdeen and Iain finished of by suggesting that the bus should be free for regulars and the committee agreed to this.

Treasurer Report

Iain discussed the finances with the committee. The bank balance sits at £1438.39 but there is still £300 from the comedy evening to be banked, which brings the total bank balance up to £1738.39.

£162.50 has to be given back to Dan Shek for the purchases of the tickets and posters from Farquhar and sons limited.

Bank signatures

Iain Grant discussed the need for new signatures on the bank account which would involve removing Lynn and having Gav Stewart and Iain Grant as the two signatures. The two of them have agreed to sort this out. There was also need for a third member to be a signatory and it was agreed by the rest of the committee that the social convenor - Dan Shek would take this role.

Social Convenor Report

Dan Shek thanked the rest of the committee for their efforts on helping him organise, publicise and general help on the evening to make the Comedy evening a success. Dan mentioned to the committee that he was thanking St Johnstone for their raffle prizes and the presence of Steven Anderson and would be hoping that they might get involved with a domino and darts evening.

 

AOCB

POTY (Player of the year)

will be held at Mcdiarmid park on Saturday 16th May at 5PM. The price for a ticket is £27.50 and we have agreed to fill 3 tables due to the demand. They required a committee member to take the sheilds and it was all agreed that Dan Shek would do this. The following volunteers were nominated to present trophies

Gav Stewart, Iain Grant, Cameron McDonald, Dan Shek, Garry Bannerman and Jordi Duncan.

Mugs/T-Shirts

- The committee would buy the mugs in at £2.50 and sell them £5.00, the t-shirts would cost £5.00 to buy in and they would be sold on at £10.00. This would ensure a maximum profit on both items.

Pin Badges

- Gav McDonald suggested pin badges at a cost of £165 for 100 badges for the first order, then the price would be lower for a second order. The pin badges would be sold for £3.50 each.

Football Competition

- Gav suggested a fundraising idea of a football competition, for the 11th July 2015. Bells Sport Centre would give us 50% off the courts for the day. Gav proposed that he invited 24 teams, with each team paying £25. The presentation could be held in the Saints club along with a disco and some raffle prizes.

Race night

- Gav told the committee he has been in touch with race night Scotland and the committee agreed that this would be a great fundraiser.

Constitution change

- The committee agreed that they would want all proceeds going to Saints Youth Academy. Gav Stewart read put a passage from the constitution “Funds to be raised primarily for Saints Youth Academy” - the committee were happy with the choice of wording.

Hall of fame

- Dan Shek spoke about this years hall of fame and told the committee that it would go ahead this year and he proposed that we go as a committee. He also mentioned that he would like to organise a Steven Anderson Appreciation evening.

Home Game meetings

- Roy McEwan brought up that he would like the meetings to be held after home games. He also suggested a charity walk from the fourth road bridge to burnt island. All proceeds would go towards the buses.

Re Hall of fame, I have again been in touch with Dave Ritchie already and hope that Sam Henderson will be nominated for his work from the fifties in running buses to away games and running Saints aids club culminating in the building of the Barrosa Street club.
