Changes of Constitution

Item 1 - name change.

Gavin read out the proposed change from item 1 of the constitution. He proposed that there was a change to the name from We are Perth Barossa Street St.Johnstone F.C Supporters to Barossa Street Saints. Those present at the meeting voted in favour for the change and it was passed. The change means we are now known as Barossa Street Saints.

Item 2 - objects.

Gavin read out item 2 that proposed notification for hosting an AGM and EGM would be posted on We are Perth forum and social media (facebook). Again the committee voted in favour and this item was passed.

Item 4 - general meetings

Gavin read out item 4 which was regarding notification for an AGM which shall be a minimum of 21 days and will posted on associations section on the We are Perth Forum and social media page (facebook). Again the committee agreed with this change and it was passed.

Chairman Report

Gavin read out his chairman report and expressed the highs and lows of the post from the last 3 years.

Gavin told the committee how much he has enjoyed his post as chairman over the past few years. He has welcomed some fresh faces onto the committee and seen some members move on. Gavin felt he had a speedy elevation back to chairman. He discussed how the club had suffered a difficulty when they had proposed to move to the Corona but with the final decision to stay at Barossa. He talked about how the final decision had created a lot of controversy and having some unnecessary comments made by certain individuals. He feels we have a strong committee and is looking forward to working with everyone if he was to be voted back in chairman. Gavin discussed how they went through a lean spell but the buses picked back up which is a very important part of the club. He gave thanks to Iain Grant for his work on the buses and as treasurer. Gavin finished by discussing how he would like to forge nights at St Johnstone, youth academy and to continue running buses successfully.

Secretary Report

There was no secretary report due to the old secretary leaving the post earlier on in the season.

Treasurer Report

Iain Grant discussed the main issue of the loses which was coming from the Home Buses mainly. The Home buses have made a loss of £691, something which needs to be looked at. One of the problems being people putting names on the list and then not turning up so instead of having a full bus it may mean only having half the numbers. Iain discussed with the committee how he feels the prices for an adult and child on both home and away buses can not be increased therefore he proposed a deposit system. He discussed how the system would work by getting people to pay a deposit of £5.00 towards there seat. However some of the committee felt this would not work, Gav McDonald felt that this would be an inconvenience for people who were working ect. Gavin Stewart asked how this system would be monitored and both Iain Grant and Dan Shek were happy to come to the club on evenings to collect deposits.

Gavin Stewart then brought up the idea of whether this would work and suggested if the Home buses should continue to run or stop completely. Gavin then asked the committee for a vote on those wanting to continue the Home buses which was voted by 3 members and then asked those who were in favour of stopping the Home buses which was voted by 4 members.

With the result the Home buses will now stop running, then Iain discussed about asking Docherty’s for a 16 seater instead of a 33 seater from Perth Executive.

Away buses made a loss of £179, but with no Home buses to focus on, Gavin discussed how he wants to get the Away buses running at a profit.
