Next up a trip to Firhill on Boxing Day  to face the form team, Partick Thistle. ( 4 wins on the spin) Cummins and Millar back would be a great boost for Saints. This is the start of a tough festive period for us with a resurgent Motherwell away and the again high flying Dons at home to follow. Points on the board here would be great.  No disrespect to Partick but this game is exactly the type we should be winning if we play to our potential. Of course they have already beaten us at McD this season, so I don't expect anything other than a close game and if we fail to  work hard and  don't show better composure in front of goal we will get sweet FA.

Hopefully we take a decent support  on what is traditionally a guid day oot on the fitba calendar.

Come on yee Saints.

This game might suit us better than recent home games where the onus was on us to force the play more.  Partick will have plenty of possession, as usual, but it would be good if we could go back to being the deadly team on the counter we were in a few of our away games this season.

hopefully we'll see a return to form for O'Halloran on a better pitch with more space to run into.

I'm always the optimist, but I'm predicting this is the week it clicks in front of goal again in a 4-1 Saints win.

This could be a really decent crowd, with Thistle on a great run and higher than they've been in the league for a while and it being Boxing Day.  Expect there will be a good few Thistle fans in attendance who haven't been for ages.

What a sad reflection on our pitch that even Partick now have a better pitch!!

that pitch has been a disgrace sinErnest.wss resurfaced a few years back. Dont know how much time & money has been spent on it  but it must be just about the worst in Scotland.

Fair enough there has been a lotof rain but not as much as the west coast.Ffs the US heating has never been on in earnest.

There is obviously a problem. When the pitch has been like that in the last few seasons the US heating has always been blamed. Must be something more deep rooted

Home for christmas as always, will be bringing a gang in the car.... long time since a Firhill trip and should be a good crowd in, as us exiles swell the numbers preparing for our POTY votes.

Read this with mirth today on Hasselhoff.... a sure kiss of death for Thistle...hope he's there to enjoy the thrashing we will serve up.... can we sing something with fuk, off and hoff?

He added: "Partick Thistle are on the best run they have had in 40 years and I'm here to help keep it going. They never give up - just like The Hoff.
