Perth applied for 2.4 million for doctors surgery in Letham from the Scottish government, bolt they were told, Perth and Kinross council spending fortunes on their building and money on river taxis, Dundee awarded from same government 63 million today for waterfront development and to do up the railway station again, what you think of that

Yea, but look on the bright side, you'll be able to P. & R. At the forthcoming facility at Walnut Grove and take a River Taxi down the Tay to the V. & A. Museum, if it ever gets completed, to put more money in the Dundee coffers.

Money being spent/wasted on new smaller slim line wheelie bins that according to one Councillor are "not fit for purpose".

We have the smaller, slimline ones for 'general waste' in Edinburgh. If you recycle properly, they are more than sufficient. The ones that were used for general waste became the recycling bin that you can pretty much put everything in except fabrics and glass (separate box for those)

I put my general waste bin out this week & it was probably a third full even with fortnightly collections.

one of the broadsheets did an analysis across the uk and there was something like 300 different systems for bin recycling. Surely its not beyond the wit and wisdom of someone like Georgous George to come up with a national standard!?!

Personally, id like the old 10p deposit on a bottle (or can) to be reintroduced.A stash of discarded TC bottles could keep you in sweets for a week!
