Is there anyone else who'd like to see this pre-season friendly brought back?

Could be a nice touch to play the local "wee" team. Lots of teams do , e.g. Charlton ALWAYS play Welling United, Barnet v Arsenal etc. Bring back the pre-season friendly v The Jeanie.

Maybe the u20's. Would be a waste of energy for our first team.

If they played at the Riverside and it got a billing from the OS, PA, Social Media it could be a good night.... that said, we have the league cup that will provide the summer football many want.

Personally I'd love to see the friendly played.

Used to play in the games v Saints at the start of every season down at Simpson Park between 2000 and 2005. Think 2005 was the last game played. Saints used to bring down a good mix of 1st team and reserves. I would love to see it come back.
