Whoever thought the Prediction League would be called - and without the need for investigations or court proceedings!!

Congratulations and well done to Coltrane and commiserations to Abernethy, the perennial bridesmaid. Hoodie - think you would have got there had it not been for the distracting tactics of Sixties! May I suggest you wear a pair of blinkers for the next campaign?

As ever thanks to Steve McQ for his sterling work organising our footie fun.

Think this could be a case of two thoroughbreds vying for position and being overtaken by a few donkeys!! :)

Round 1. It was SLF that got his nose to front, only to be overtaken by Saturn & Hoodlum65 at the 2nd hurdle.

3rd Hurdle- sees Saturn joined by 541ntees & Pezza70.

4th Hurdle- Pezza70 takes it on his own & remains ahead thru' the league cup, till the 8th hurdle.

9th Hurdle- Hoodlum65 moves into the lead, closely followed by Pezza70, then comes 541ntees.

10th Hurdle- Hoodlum retains the lead with 2nd favourite Steve McQueen taking closer order in second place and Abernethy Saint joining Pezza70 in 3rd.

11th  Hurdle- Steve McQueen joins Hoodlum65 in front.

12th  Hurdle- Abernethy Saint  decides to accompany Steve McQueen in the lead, with Hoodlum65, Kinnoull Kicker who makes his move, Johnny B, Pezza70, 541ntees, then the Favourite Coltrane,  keeping an eye on the leaders..    Saturn and Slf 's race appear to be over at this stage.I

13th Hurdle- Abernethy Saint moves ahead of Steve McQueen & Hoodlum65 who are neck and neck.

14th Hurdle- The order is the same.

15th Hurdle- Pezza70 is back in contention, alongside Steve McQueen & Hoodlum65, with Abernethy Saint still leading.

16th Hurdle- Still Abernethy Saint up front, with Hoodlum65 dropping off the other two.

18th Hurdle- Abernethy Saint & Steve McQueen in front. Hoodlum65 now overtaken by Coltrane & Sleepless, who has been given a wake up call.

19th Hurdle- Same two lead. Cristo moves ahead of Coltrane, Sleepless, Hoodlum65 and Saturn.

20th Hurdle- Abernethy Saint and Steve McQueen still setting the pace, then Pezza70 & Coltrane who is looking fresh.

21st Hurdle- the leading four in the same order.

22nd Hurdle- Steve McQueen takes up the lead, followed by Pezza70, then Abernethy Saint and Coltrane. Behind them is Johnny B, and SLF (who had to have a liquid injection prior to the race.)

23rd Hurdle- Still Steve McQueen out in front, Abernethy Saint joined in 2nd place by the much fancied Coltrane.

24th Hurdle- Still the same order.

25th Hurdle- The first six are Steve McQueen, Coltrane, (1st and 2nd favourites), Abernethy Saint, Pezza70, Johnny B, and Hoodlum65 who has been given a reminder than Sixties Saintee is gunning for him.

35th Hurdle- Things hotting up , Coltrane in front,  Abernethy Saint and Steve McQueen contesting 2nd place, with Hoodlum65 following.

36th Hurdle- Coltrane , who has shown in the latter part of the competition why he was favourite leads, with Steve McQueen edging Abernethy Saint for second and Hoodlum65.

After and input from the stewards, Abernethy was relegated to 4th, meaning Coltrane was the worthy winner and Steve McQueen dead-heated with Hoodlum65* for 2nd.

Well done Coltrane.

Wow!!  Thanks so much!!

Much like Saints, my form improved greatly in the second half of the season!  That was my second winners medal ... hopefully it's not potentially discredited like the present 9 in a row champions ... or perhaps there are impending lawsuits contesting the result out there....

Anyway, many thanks to Steve for all the amazing hard work, and also to everyone who took part!!

Here's to (hopefully) next season and another great contest!!

Cheers!!
