Not stating either way, but simply asking the question Confidence looks gone. Nobody wanting the ball, no urgency and no real command in midfield or at that back. Very poor, striker won't solve this and this team should be better. New centre half looks out of his depth. Linky
This just shows how signing a striker this past week was so important. The new signing wouldn't have sorted problems at the back, but would have signalled a new start, improved confidence, etc. Sometimes when it's bad, you almost want it to be worse. In a way, I'd rather lose to them 4-1 rather than 2-1, to wake the Chairman up and make sure things start moving on the transfer front. With 2-1 we'll get more 'we played well towards the end, and could have nicked a goal...let's just carry on as we are...it'll come good in the end, etc. etc.'

SlickDT
First half as bad as I've seen us play. Second half we showed fight, but we're still miles away from anything but a relegation dog fight. Havana Saint

RandomGuy
How are you meant to react to that? First half we were brutal, but you could see it was a complete lack of confidence in themselves, and each other. It'll seem weird to say, but Livingston didn't even seem to be playing that well first half, we were so ****ing bad they could just stroll about and find space anywhere. Our sole tactic was pumping balls up to Kane, who was never going to win a header. Second half started much the same, then we got the goal out of nothing. After that we looked a completely different team, everyone after the ball, everyone brave, bodies getting in the box. Second goal was well deserved, by that point we were totally dominant. Then the nerves came in, Livi started attacking again, penalty looked a stonewaller to me, tbh. Clark the hero thanks to a dreadful penalty. First half stil has to be a worry, and the midfield was wide open again. Vihmann looks dodgy as f**k aswell. But all in, the players showed enough heart, and quality, to come back from two goals down. That has to be taken a positive, and hopefully the players take some well deserved confidence from this, which should prevent performances like the first half. Rob
Fighting back to 2-2, and Zander saving a last minute penalty was as good as a win after that first half. Maybe not the result we wanted at the start of the day but having enough to fight back was a real positive. Not the only problem but confidence is a big factor. A lot of unforced errors today. MrBored
By jesus we were bad in the first half. Punting balls up to Kane who had no joy. MOH receiving the ball with his back to goal and not able to do anything. Swanson with no service and very quiet. The Virhman looking very dodgy when he had to use his feet...never a good sign. Once we got the goal, however, different story. Deserved the equaliser with pretty much the first decent cross into the box all day....after that the game could have gone either way and Foster is a lucky boy that Clark got him out of a hole. Don't think any of them played particularly well for the full game, but McCann deserves credit for not hiding and coming into the game in the second half. With his booking, it is telling that an 18yo (or whatever age he is) is willing to take the booking for the benefit of the team....not sure the rest of them would have done the same. Still reasons to be optimistic with the fight back.....now to see if we can improve the squad a tad. Dave H

But he was brought in to be first choice I would imagine, and it would be unfair to drop him just based upon the Celtic game. If he has the quality that Tommy saw in him, then it's worth letting him show that against more balanced opposition. A central defender pairing need time to build up an understanding. Fair enough. Saw him against Forfar and Cove, but not Celtic and it takes time to develop an understanding with his defensive colleagues/team mates. Hence I was promoting Gordon, as he and Kerr are familiar with each other's play. Thought he got pass marks today. garydavidson
Johnny B
We got 1 point and scored 2 goals that is an improvement in front of goals. But still no sign of us keeping a clean sheet. Doe anyone think we get a clean sheet this season in the league. Last week did not shut down on the edge of the box, this week we did not shut them down inside the box. So who is not doing their Job? Rob
Confidence lacking all over the park for large spells of the game. Think we need to stick with the same team in the coming weeks, consistency has been lacking.
