Tommy says ball is in Joe's court if he wants to talk

He also says he is looking for a left back so no space for centre half.

He is trying to strip the squad down so cant see Steve allow him to bring in a player surplus to requirements like he did with Swanson last season.

How long before he shuts the door on Joe or does he wait until end of window.

Contract news - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48774480

""A hell of a lot of money" will be needed to prise defender Jason Kerr away from Scottish Premiership club St Johnstone, says manager Tommy Wright.

Wright is also hopeful goalkeeper Zander Clark will accept the Perth outfit's "great offer" of a new deal."

Liam Lindsay away to Stoke..maybe Barnsley will come after Jason now

Barnsley after a 21yo Finnish CB from Leeds United according to this https://the72.co.uk/136479/barnsley-chase-two-leeds-united-men/

so, maybe their interest in Kerr is over?

Read this on the BBC Sport page about Joe -

The Irish centre-back finds himself in short-term limbo after planning for the long term. The former St Johnstone captain turned down a new deal in Perth and looked set for a return to Aberdeen until Derek McInnes backed out of their pre-contract agreement. Shaughnessy is studying for an Open University maths degree and put his football future on hold to prepare for an exam earlier this month. He hasn't ruled out staying at McDiarmid Park, where he's been a first-team regular for the past four years.

Shankland off to Dundee Utd....I hope we would have at least offered something (granted probably not very much).

I'm sure saints would have been interested but his move to DUFC shows lack of ambition as obviously happy to spend another 3 years in Scotland second flight.

He’s worth every penny of that if he scores 20+ goals and they go up.

All in that would be over £350k, would they make that much from promotion considering theyd likely be losing a derby?

Genuinely dont know btw, not sure what the difference in income is.
