interesting! Shows this will be a big year in more ways than one.  As good as this squad is, some key players out of contract this time next year. Big job for new manager - get squad up and running / performing and assessing players ahead of January window.

Add Wright and Butcher to this and a decent manager and I think we can look out our passports again

I think it depends on what formation might be played. Either way, we need an extra centre midfielder. Holt or Butcher would be fine, and the former might be happier to sign a contract with a wage that isn't too high. I imagine Butcher would be on a higher wage than Holt.

If Wright leaves, I would like to see 5-3-2, and for us to sign an extra centre back who can also play in midfield if necessary.

Otherwise, if Wright leaves, we'll need a winger who could play on the left too, or someone as back-up for Wotherspoon. Neither of which are easy.

Wouldn't like to go into season with Spoony & Mikey as our only wide option. That is why I wanted to keep O'Rielly.

Not sure any of the young guys can play as out and out wingers.

Don’t think we’ll be signing anyone new now when we can pick up what we need for pennies in a few months.

Jonny Hayes free but wants to go to Dons or Well.

Its great having the squad for 2020/21 more or less signed but we don't get the excitement of wondering who we are going to sign.

The pool of players available is huge & good standard but we don't need them.

They are welcome to him.

Never seen Ballantyne play. If he can offer back-up then great. However, we've lost Holt and Butcher, I don't think we can replace both of these with one 20 year-old.

Davidson is returning too, he missed the second half of last season.

Definitely agree wide players look like the priority, but if Wright signs we could easily start the season with that squad and feel relatively happy.

I think Kilmarnock have four players signed up for next season.

Ballantyne is coming into the squad after a similar season to McCann, I think.

He played 21 games for Montrose last season.

No idea what type of central midfielder he is, but theres a chance he can contribute next season.

Haven't seen Ballantyne play for some time now.

Last time, he and Ali McCann were dovetailing well in the youths.

Think he'll be a fringe player, making late sub appearances.

Yes, that’s what I’m saying. If we only have Wotherspoon & O’Halloran as wingers, I’d prefer to play 5-3-2, with either of them in a central role just behind the main striker (so more like 5-3-1-1 I suppose)
