Templar Saint 520 Report post Posted May 29, 2017 Bringing in foreign players - not so good for our national team or Scottish football in general ... (...in my opinion). How many Saints players get called up for Scottish National Team?
jhq 1,414 Report post Posted May 30, 2017 Couldn't care less about the national team or Scottish football in general. Neither give two hoots about Saints after all. However, a lot of our success over the last few years is down to a great team spirit built mainly among Scottish/Irish players. I'm not against bringing in foreign players if they are good enough and buy into the team ethos we have at Saints, but don't bring them in just for their exotic names. Not done Sevco/Hearts/United much good. 2 Coltrane and byebyedundee reacted to this

Edstar101 2,937 Report post Posted May 30, 2017 Aye, but no on the back of yer neck or jacket from Ghostie. That's why I wouldn't sit in front of him in the East Stand, or to be honest across from him in the Main Stand 1 HOODLUM65 reacted to this

garydavidson 1,597 Report post Posted May 30, 2017 Got to make a start first, before being subbed. How many starts did the 2 of them make, 13? The main complaint of folks was that they were both getting starts and having to come off early.

akuram 156 Report post Posted May 30, 2017 Ok that may we'll be. Let's try for a proven goal scorer from the lower leagues and give him a try. We are well covered in midfield but lack another striker. Also we need to replace Danny's penalties. Otherwise we have a good squad.
Wee Mental Davie 94 Report post Posted May 30, 2017 Lionel Ainsworth poised to sign for Plymouth Argyle after rejecting a new Motherwell deal. Another club opens up for Scougall now...ffs.
Guest ScottMann Report post Posted May 30, 2017 I'd expect Plymouth to have been one of the League One clubs already after him given Adams presence. Personally I've never felt we would get him so there's not going to be any major disappointment when/if he goes elsewhere. Good on Saints for seriously going for him and at least getting him to a game though. It's great to see some genuine ambition.

Wee Mental Davie 94 Report post Posted May 30, 2017 (edited) What is it with us being linked with lower league players? Spittal is seen as shite to a lot of Dundee United fans, so what makes folk think he'd cut it in this league week in week out? Look at Alston for example, he walked the Championship and struggled to adapt to this league initially, and still has his off games every now and again. I thought we'd be setting our sights a little higher (pardon the pun) than him? Edited May 30, 2017 by Wee Mental Davie

RandomGuy 3,162 Report post Posted May 30, 2017 Blair Spittal seemingly near to singing for us now He was rumoured a few months back and then everything went quiet, possibly because of their Play-Off involvement? Wouldn't be too excited about it, as he seems like a worse version of Alston, but TW has a habit of turning players like that into more. Think we will get Spiritual as there will be little competition. Scougall? Aberdeen, Hearts, Motherwell and Doncaster all been rumoured to have contacted him alongside us.
