Cagey 2,896 Report post Posted August 18, 2019 41 minutes ago, RandomGuy said: Like he still plays Anderson and Craig? Mannus was replaced by Clark, Ando by Kerr, Craig was behind McCann in the pecking order on Saturday. This "old guard" myth is bizarre when literally nothing points to it. Ando is still there & was in the team this season before being replaced by a useless ginge. Craig has been made vice captain so would imagine he is very much in Tommy's plan. Anyway the subject was the thought that Tommy has spunked a lot of money on players that haven't contributed.

Maybe we couldn’t meet his wage demands but do we not pay well with bonuses you never know unless you are in discussions.

I would imagine the deal we offered Stevie May initially would be more than what Kilmarnock would have offered Lafferty. If that kind of money is still available then I can see it being enough to lure the likes of Cummings or Lafferty. Especially if some decent performance based bonuses are included that incentivise the move for the player and reward the club.

Linky 244 Report post Posted August 18, 2019 I’m imagining he’s holding out for Hearts, but wouldn’t say no to Hibs. If he’s turned down Killie, we haven’t a hope. Hibs are more likely as they are actively looking for someone.

I believe Swanson to USA was paper talk because he is not up that standard either It didn't come from the papers, it was stated by his lawyer in court as part of his sentence mitigation plea. Don't know the specifics but I guess it could have been something like 'a conviction for violent conduct could prevent Mr Swanson playing professional football in countries such as the United States'. 1 Johnny B reacted to this

I imagine he will be hoping Hearts (if they're gullible enough) will take him back... until AN IBROX club decides he's playing too well for Hearts again and is therefore a danger to themselves. At which point they wave the cheque book.

What a shambles, makes me laugh. Can we afford him, if not move on. Wait a minute, can we sign him but loan him to Aberdeen so he can get match fit. Thats surely what happens next, some storyline this saga is. Edited August 19, 2019 by Dave H
