Only positive in a poor game was that the defending was much, much better than we have been used to in the past few months.

I was sitting there wondering just what we are trying to do with Drey. Last season he looked like he had the full back on toast almost every game until his injury. This season he seems to be too deep, perhaps protecting Ralston somewhat, or he gets the ball wide and then tries to go inside with it....and invariably then runs into traffic and loses it. We need to get back to playing him high and wide like last season if he is going to have any impact.

Absolutely dreadful game. We seemed happy to sit in and take a clean sheet and point from the start. St Mirren too shite to break us down. MOH hit the keeper when clean through a d that was the only real chance for either side.

Massive game on boxing day now.

Wright set us up to get a clean sheet & hit on the break which O'Halloran couldn't do for second game in a row.

Anti football goalie punts the ball it comes back & instead of taking the ball down on their chest they head it back into trouble.

****ing dire stuff. Has been for a few seasons now. No wonder crowds are slipping away.

Would love to argue but can't. Almost no enjoyment from Saints at home these days.

McCann looks crap now he has signed a 3 half year contract, dwelt on the ball passed everything backward. Solid defensively, freshen up the attack in the transfer window and i think we could grind out a fair few victories.

Another expert opinion-  with your insight you'll soon displace Gary Neville on SKY

Poorest game from Saints at home in a while but lets face it we are in a relegation battle and not conceding is critical. The tactics were dire too.  St. Mirren work hard on stopping teams play to their strength and are very good at it. We might look back on this point as crucial.

Big chance missed today to start building a gap between us and others at the bottom. I had no doubt St Mirren wouldnt be easy but definitely a team we should have been looking to get 3 points from. Hope we dont regret the past 2 St Mirren games at the end of the season where we have only got 1 point out of 6.

We had a couple of half chances with MoH hitting the keeper in 2 minutes, good save and the one on one where lessons have not been learnt. Surely he should know a couple of skill options to score a goal.  Reminded me of Kano's one on one in the league cup, and MoHs one on one last week.

Thought two teams set up not to lose, more so us.  In warm up I watched our back 4 doing drills of heading long balls didnt expect to watch it for most of the game.  StMirren playing long balls all game, predictably boring and having little effect. Time and time again, we allowed there defenders to pick out easy punts as we had little press up top.

Nothing between the teams in creativity, boring nil nil.  Its was a awful game for top flight football, but a point is on the board which is important and at least we're becoming more difficult to beat.

Next game, same again and hope we turn a chance or 2 into a goal to win 1-0.

It was a bit of a turdfest to be fair. Mikey and Drey were disappointing considering what they're capable of an Kennedy barely got a look in as they had two on him as soon as he got the ball. Defence looks a lot more like it though. Gordon was probably a stand out.

Hendry? Puts himself about well, always looking for the ball but he's going to get himself hurt the way he throws himself into everything. Chip off the old block there for sure.

And if we could only put Booth and Tanser into a blender we'd come out with a damn fine left sided wing/full back.
