When footy was worth the money

Side door of Muirton Saints Club at 3-45

Jim Docherty goal at Brockville from corner flag

Wee hodgie getting thrown out Tannadice 4 times.

Getting team bus to Berwick on a Tuesday night.

Think it was Raymond Blair who booted ball into ice cream van.

Swapping ends at Muirton ( through the Toilets.....)

Jimmy the ball boy leader with his brush

hanging the half time scores up behind the Muirton goals on pins.

Geordie Tulloch own goal against Berwick at Muirton ( threw into his net)

dropping the season ticket out the slats in the main stand to mates for a thursday night reserve game.

Not forgetting Gav- the banana on the Mini bus to Elgin mini tournament !!! you did enjoy.

Were we not unfairly “relegated” after the second world war. Also anyone who thinks it’s bad just now should have tried watching Saints anytime between 1976 & 1988. Some highlights in that era but a helluva lot more lowlights.

Saints V Albion Rovers Att 381 I think.....

Ahhhh Those were the days

Many a good trip on the mental Stanley bus to away games.

Also had the pleasure of Hodgie being the manager of the u16/u18 Stanley footie teams, just as mad on the sidelines as he was going tae muirton park
