Thats a good draw. Great for scottish football that all 4 teams will fancy their chances, makes the cup much more exciting. Just heard Chick Young say that this is the first time ever that neither of the old firm are in the semi finals of the cup...that can't be right?

If we win the Cup, we have European football until Christmas. Cup puts you in the Europa League Play Off, win that you're in the EL Group Stage, lose it and you drop into the Conference League Group stage.

That would be really exciting for Saints and a massive incentive to win the Cup.

Big incentive for fans to buy a season ticket too if crowds end up being restricted.

Great news that we didn't get Hibs in the Semi-Final, in terms of European Qualification.

If we win the Cup, obviously we're into the Europa League and the guaranteed £3mil, because you drop into the Conference League even if you lose. That sort of money is a game changer for us.

If Hibs win the Cup, then the 5th place team qualifies for the Conference League, giving us another chance.

St Mirren best chance of us getting to final and I would hope they think the same of us. Both Saints have been quite consistent this season, a known quantity if you like. Dundee Utd have been very sporadic. Teams playing better than them yet they have players that can score wonder goals and get a result off the back of a poor performance. On paper Hibs look good but you never know if that good team will turn up.

Winning the cup more lucrative than finishing 3rd in the league.

Gate money should be good as well.

More history about to be written, this is amazing,

£2-3 million Could really change the future of our club. If spent and invested wisely, could be absolutely monumental.

Is that an absolute certainty?

Yup.

UEFA take control of Hampden for the Euros, before the Final is played there, and aren't allowing fans for that game, but will for the Euros.

The same UEFA who spent last week ranting about "handing the game back to supporters to prevent greed"...

Reports were that they all refused to host it but the Daily Record said the SFA decided not to move it:

The Sun said the SFA tried but failed to move it:

I think it's that neither of them have been in the semi final of either cup.

Folk keep saying that, but I don’t think it’s true. Celtic weren’t founded until 1888, and of the 15 cup finals before that, Rangers only appeared in two. Were they really losing semi-finalists 13 times in 15 years? Doubt it.

It’s only sort of true if you mean since the foundation of the League Cup in 1947 I think, but that’s not what is being said.

OK, got that off my chest. Please carry on.
