garydavidson
I am fairly confident Rooney will win this but my vote is going to Booth who I thought was exceptionally solid stopping nearly everything down his flank. Far the better team the minute we got it on the ground.
Linky
Booth for me. He rarely gets noticed, but just does the simple things really well, and got some good crosses in. Rooney scored of course, but wasn't actually at his best otherwise.
sixties saintee
Has to be Rooney , but thought Booth was close second.

Cagey
Has to be Rooney but Kane contributed more than most with his hold up play & drawing could. Just a shame he is a rubbish striker .
Cleveland-Saint
rooney is a beast, physically and mentally....this win could push him to even greater things
ex-montrosesaintee
Rooney was terrific, as was the back 3 and Booth, but Kane gets my vote. He was goosed with 20 minutes to go and found energy from somewhere, incredible fitness, and his hold up play in the last 20 minutes won us the game. glenrothes saintee
The whole team played well, Kane with his tireless running, Rooney getting up and down the pitch plus the goal, Zander with the save, but for me it has to be Booth, helping out in attack one minute then back making crucial challenges the next

Saintdunc
I thought Booth was pretty impressive. Rooney did what he is good at, marauding and swashbuckling every opportunity. He has that look of someone you would not want to cross! Great save by Zander which stopped us from having to initiate a fight back which we might not been able to do. No failures though, all put in a real shift. I went for Booth, with Rooney just behind. I might have gone for the boss if he was an option. garydavidson

He did well at blocking the ball but I am not sure he completed a pass to a team mate, he stuck out for me as lacking in composure and maybe letting the occasion get to him. ex-montrosesaintee

I was surprised at how nervous both Liam and Ali were on the ball, compared to how well we've been playing the ball on the deck all season. Balls into the channels from Jamie and Jason were poor too. I don't really care because we won, but outside of the first 15-20 minutes in the second half, that's the poorest we've been as a progressive side for a while. The back line balled out though defensively. Don't think we lost a header second half. garydavidson

They were all nervous, not wanting to lose first goal, that is why the ball was like a hot potatoe .They settled down after the goal and started to pass the ball.
