CD  been creaming his pants about Eetu yet Kane is his main man who couldn't score in a brothel even it was paid for

I know, useless. I mean all he's managed in the last eight weeks or so are goals against the likes of Galatasaray and Lask.

That was a savage game. Definitely one for Jar Heid Brown. Think there were some scores to settle after the pre-season "friendly" up there, which by all accounts was particularly "meaty".

Naturally delighted with the win- tbh there's been games we ought to have won (County) and not got points.

Bit of a worry about Muzz- he doesn't go off without it being pretty bad.

Efe was decent and saints have a good track record of rekindling talent... Mccart and muzz were great, May's goal was vintage and I hope with all my heart he kicks on from that.

Kane works his socks off, and I personally love him on the team, adds a 'pain in the neck' strategy. He will score the odd goal but is not a natural goal scorer. Here endeth the debate on Kane.

P. S. I'll be over for hibs game, surprise visit to me mums. So hopefully we take a good crowd for that.

So, shite then.

You can't read too much into BBC stats. They had Ambrose MoM but May player of the match with a rating of 7.06. Vertainan 2nd on 6.69 even though he was only on for a few minutes with Ambrose last on 5.46.

I would say he was pretty steady given that it was his first game with a new bunch of team mates. A couple of passes that put his colleagues in difficult positions but looked promising. Aberdeen were pretty toothless!

Cant read too much into the defence or Ambrose yesterday ,there were at least 3 crosses that Romeris should have got his head to.

Kane’s knockdown for Middleton’s terrible shot was brilliant.

Ambrose was BBC’s MoM, but the player of the match ratings are public votes and not decided by BBC.

Yeah, I thought that but just pointing out the disparity. Everyone sees the game differently. Plus I like having a go at BBC .

Not Kane's best performance by any stretch but I can't believe we're still at the stage of people questioning his place in the team after what he's contributed over the last year. No one's under any illusions that he's ever going to be a 20-goal-a-season striker, but surely everyone can appreciate how important he is to the way we play?

I actually thought Kane performed well in annoying the hell out of Scot Brown!

This was really all about picking up the 3 points. The defence coped which is another bonus. Going forward Saints werent great. The goal was interesting because we've not seen May shoot from there recently, it didnt look like the obvious thing to do with the bodies in there. If he had passed to Eetu and he scored it might have dropped him down the pecking order further so maybe there is a bit of that. Good having some competition for places. May dropped to midfield I think when Davidson got injured.

Points taken from the OF and Hibs and Hearts games sharing points show this could be a tough season.
