We were unlucky and it was a bad decision from the ref, but you're never going to win games if you can barely get a shot on target. Then, just like the LASK game, when we go behind we start making silly choices and picking up bookings. Our passing at times just wasn't good enough: McCart, Craig, Wotherspoon and particularly Crawford (who played so well on Wednesday night) were guilty of this.

A few positives: Ambrose always looks pretty solid, Rooney is growing into that more central role, MOH is having a better season than last.

Another frustration: why bring in players like Melamed and Vertainen if we're not even going to bring them on towards the end of a match like that. I can see why you'd start with Kane, but we limit our options but not playing certain players. With McCart suspended now, Brown and Gordon still injured, I'm not sure what our defence will look like next week.

Another John Beaton masterclass after his ridiculous penalty at McDiarmid against Liam Gordon last year in injury time then another one today followed up by a soft sending off after his linesman had made a glaring error then blew his final whistle early after booking a Hibs player in added time for time wasting.

Is this guy not accountable for his consistent incompetence?

So, having just come in from work and looking at the teams on BBC and Fotmob, they have Northcott and Muller, along with McCart in the back 3. What’s that all about?

  • Easy to get Ambrose and Northcott mixed up though..
  • I assume Northcott used to wear 25.

Harsh penalty. Really poor refereeing throughout the whole game. Lots of wrong decisions on both sides. Think Saints limited Hibs to few chances and Saints didnt really like scoring either. End to end stuff but also a lack of quality in final third.

CD decision not to play Vertainen is becoming more ridiculous with every passing game given our lack of goals

MOM: John Beaton.

I tell you what they are lucky they had Beaton playing for them today because even after the we went down to ten men we were still causing the problems.

Ryan Porteous and Kevin Nisbet are BANG AVERAGE!!

To be honest I think he gave us everything first half and hibs everything in 2nd.

He also blew for half time with around 20secs left and a potential long throw from Rooney.

Hibees on P&B celebrating like they've won the Scottish Cup final. Clearly rattled them these past few seasons.

How do you know you are just another average, run of the mill SPFL side?

When you “prize asset”, “future Scotland captain” Ryan Baresi Porteous is telling your goalkeeper to waste time and slow the game down so that you can scrape a 1-0 win over 10-man St.Johnstone at home. Glory glory indeed.
