St Johnstone: What's gone wrong at the double cup winners?

Recommended Posts

He HAS to keep Eetu and Viv in from the start. All of our forward players have been given plenty of chances and those attacking stats are appealing.

If he reverts back to Kane, Middleton and O’Halloran, that sends totally the wrong message. It would be blind faith.

Maybe an interesting read. But last season where were we in the league at this point. As far as I’m aware only difference is we might be higher in the league now than last year and out of league cup. But you can’t grumble at reaching semi final.

After we'd played 15 last season. 2pts better off.

We were definitely playing better last season though.

Fair enough we were but look at Livi so we’re they. Also a lot of teams with games in hand over us as well. But we seem to have one maybe two games in hand this time.

Think a lack of a Hamilton, a side who are clearly already going down, isn't helping either.

Very tight at the bottom this season.

No point looking at last season’s table. I don’t buy this slow starters and bottom by Xmas idea either. All that matters is where we are now, and it isn’t looking good. To say a couple of wins and we’re up the league is fine, but where are the wins coming from? It looks bleak right now. Needs sorted.

Out of the 12 teams at , at the moment we are the worst.

Livi this season are a far better team than Hamilton were last season.

Saints have to find a composed ball winning midfielder & decent striker in January. I hope they been looking for the past month or so because they won't come knocking at the door. Agents might but the track record there is not great.

Japan seems to be the place to go.

Interesting the difference between the two matches vs Dundee.

St Johnstone steam roll Dundee 3-1 (October 2021):

St.Johnstone torn apart by Dundee(December 2021):

The second formation is wrong we played 352 with MOH right wingback

That’s us officially in the relegation play-off spot now…

Hibs in free fall . The only game they have won was against us where we gave them too much respect and if we beat them we would have been above them now.

Callum has a lot of work to do. Hopefully he can prove that last season was not a fluke & we can try to win games again.
