MySpazz
Couldn't make it up. Some result. Half the team either out or away in Summer, so let's see if Davidson CAN build a team without a laptop guy doing recruitment...but that's not for tonight MON THE SAINTS!!!!!!!! MrBored
Phew..... the score flattered us, but I don't care. Caley well in the game at half time and perhaps the slightly better, more controlled side. Brilliant cross from Brown, who played an unfamiliar position really well, to set up the first and a wee bit of luck with McPherson's shot, but luck has been in short supply this season. Thought McP had the best game I have seen from him. Those two should have had us on easy street, but you always wonder given Friday, that if Caley got one, what would we do. Sat back far too much in the second half, but that did allow the third and fourth as Caley really had to go for it. Credit to the players (and yes the management) for stepping up when it really counted. You would like to see the club push the 'boat' to get Rooney & Hendry to sign on again. Reckon McCart & Clark will be off though. pezza70 and Cagey

Saintdunc
Brown was very impressive and he nullified the right wing threat. Stevie covered a lot of ground after his goal. Difficult to choose MoM but Brown shades it for me. We were totally outplayed in the first half so well done Saints and how might have gone if Middleton hadn’t torn something. pezza70
This feeling right now heading to work down under is almost the same as when we finished third on the last day at a packed McD park. Cagey
Centre backs did well. Mahon played well considering he has had about 30 mins football since he came. Hallberg though was MoM as he is a class act and was all over the park even saving a couple of goals. Thought he was going to have to go off but played on and his pass to Hendry was class. His celebration at the end was as if he had won the cup. garydavidson and john.w

The Real Saints
On a night like tonight, I'll allow myself to temporarily forget about the events of this season. It will go down as one of the most memorable McDiarmid Park nights in spite of everything that came before it. Firstly, a dreadful first half. Inverness looked a technically better team than us and they showed a lot more hunger in addition to that. Not sure how big a part it played when Callum was forced into the substitution of May for the injured Middleton, but there's no doubt that he made a telling impact. In general, it was nice to see our goals being scored by a 2014 cup legend, a 2020/21 cup double legend (those celebrations will go down in folklore), and this season's goalscoring saviour. It was fairly unsurprising to see that our best defensive performer was the man who Callum Davidson has been too scared to put in the starting line-up for the last few months. There's a lot of work and rebuilding to do over the summer, but that can wait until tomorrow. Well done to Saints for this evening's performance, although it does nothing to gloss over everything that preceded it.
