Why not field him as a trialist during these summer games and see how he does? If he'd come out absolutely flying, then snap him up. But if not, look at other targets. Maybe I'm missing something but he seems to have generally spent his career as a winger, which indicated to me that maybe Levein wanted to use wingers this season, but that doesn't seem to be the plan at all. That's the thing. At the very minimum he should be played in his preferred position. It absolutely boils my piss when someone is shunted into a position they aren't comfortable in.
