Can we please calm down... In 2 months we'll learn where we are and where CL is. I'm sure Mr Webb will be clinical in his decisions

Agreed but I don’t think it will take 2 months. Webb has not taken this team over and put together a consortium to watch us struggle and provide little or no entertainment. He’s not a fool and will shortly show his teeth. I think he has been overly influenced by GB in sticking with CL for now. He will now either get rid quickly or gamble by releasing some funds for a couple of much needed signings. Performances and line ups as seen at Alloa will not be tolerated because he cares, unlike SB who could not give a toss anymore

Totally agree. Americans don't do the waiting game.

Cammy MacPherson with the, now regular, "it won't happen again and wasn't like us" interview after a bad result.

Genuinely would happily see him punted today. Blames Rae/Keltjens and Essel entirely for the result, acting as the performance was fine from everyone else and those 3 chucked the game.

A total ****ing coward who somehow wore the captains armband for the 2nd half despite being dogshit then hiding all match, topping it up by letting Alloa waste the last few minutes, with the score at 3-2, because he's too immature not to barge into folk desperate to be fouled.

This is the type of character we're needing to dig in and fight all season as part of a collective effort.

He seems to have a short memory span as it was his foul that lead to the first goal.

Maybe they will all have had a look at the mirror and see a mediocre footballer and not a Ballon D'Or winner looking back.

There may be a footballer in there someplace but if he doesn't escape the Mr Potato head morph suit we still have Mr potato head playing CM...

I wonder how those players feel when interviews like that get released, especially when it's coming from someone seen as "high up" in the dressing room leadership in ****ing Cammy MacPherson.

The manager said that as well, so you can only imagine how they will feel and how they will be treated.

Must have found a few coins jammed in the bottom of the tin!

Hmmm, feel my patience wearing a little thin. Nothing against this young lad and in years gone by this would have been a promising signing. But I just can't see any logic behind it.

I'd rather see us move Essel back to defence and get another CM in the door, maybe 2 if it's felt we need to improve the defence.

Our midfield is woeful so much so that our game plan seems to cut them out.

Hopefully a blip but Raymond also looked totally lost at left back the other night. Feel he's better suited to a wing back role....probably didn't help having McPake ahead of him though.

Don't often enter into panic this early but we're needed some big signings announced in the next 7 days and Levin/Kirk realky need to start some coaching, really no idea what they do on the training pitch but team look totally lost and devoid of any plan or structure.

We need an experienced defender yet we loan in another clubs 21 year old prospect. 20 mins in a 5-0 friendly defeat to Spurs. One og , one tackle and 3 passes.

Panic signing.

We have Olufunwa who isn't getting a game and hasn't much of last season. He may not be any good but the few times  I saw him I didn't think he did much wrong.

I agree Olunfwa is decent and a centre back 3 of him, McClelland and Cameron might be the best we can hope for

The incompetence in building this squad is rivalling the Davidson Flaherty era which is incredible.

27 players, including 7 central midfielders and yet we still lack quality in that area.

No experienced goalkeeper. Only one left back.

7 strikers, one injured, one to be injured soon (lets be honest Nicky) and the more experienced option about to go to Raith.

And now we're going to bloat this squad further with hearts failures. Can't wait.

I suspect he's probably wary of being seen as the sort of owner who comes in and immediately sacks the manager. Normally that would be sensible. The irony here is that that's entirely what he needs to do.

If it's any consolation at all, from what I've been told of his email replies to various people, he's very aware of the fact that results and performances under Levein haven't been good enough.

Personally I just don't think we have anything to gain by waiting. We're not going to learn anything new about Levein. He's not suddenly going to become a completely different manager. All he's going to do is spend more of the club's money and dig us into an even deeper hole, which will only make things more difficult for whoever takes over from him.

This is why I'm still behind the management team. We have what, on paper at least, is a reasonable set up: young hungry coach, with experienced manager with connections to keep him in check.

Who in reality, is going to come in to a club in the state we're in. When we've sacked 5 managers and their assistants in the last 15 months. Lowest or second lowest budget in the league. A new American owner, with no real sense of what the future might be. No scouts, amateurish set up. People say Rhys McCabe, well we've just signed who many saw as his top player and he was a joke on Tuesday. Has he got the connections to bring players in?

If we do sack them, I could see the owner wanting to bring in someone from the US, and I'd be very wary of where that takes us.

If the choice is the status quo or taking a gamble, I'd say gamble.

I'm not particularly concerned about risking the turgid football on offer. Ultimately the worst a manager can do this year is relegate us. That's happening under Levein so why not try something new.

I think a new manager coming in could also be a good opportunity for Webb to understand what the club needs to progress. Levein is going to say everything is fine to him, where as managerial applicants knocking us back because of issues like a lack of scouting may make him think.

Lasted 4 months in his last job, with a win percentage of 22%. Worst manager for win rate they've had in the last 10 years. 4th worst of all time, and the other 3 all took over when the club was punching above its weight in the divisions above

I'm all for positive thinking but to still see things in this way, in the face of all evidence we've seen on the pitch and the absolute mess the squad is currently in, really does require the bluest of blue-tinted spectacles. I'm honestly starting to wonder how much longer you can possibly keep defending him.
