Courier has Levein saying he's finished with up front, but central midfield he wants another experienced player, and sounds like he'd add in defence and in goals too if possible.

Andre Raymond out for "three weeks".

All sensible, but also true a month ago? And do we still have to get rid of players that either don't seem to want to go or no one wants.

Would imagine the aim is still to offload players but the pressure to do so has probably reduced with the imminent income from the Rangers cup game.

Just hope Levein uses his contact book, preferably as far as possible away from Tynecastle, to get the experienced CM as this signing has to be right.

That’s young Jackson Mylchreest out on loan to Forfar until January. Played today but didn’t score.

A player and a wage, albeit a negligible one, out of the squad. Hopefully, if a couple of the other younger players follow, will lead to a couple of incoming first team players.

You wouldn't want to be in the trenches with that midfield beside you.

Weakest in the division. Goodwin was saying how big and physical teams like Dundee, St Mirren and Kilmarnock are. It’s possible we could be battered and bettered by most other midfields. We shall see.

That game showed - another centre back, a replacement for MacPherson (although don't we have that already in Sprangler?) and we'll be fine

If Carey is being played through the middle I'd like a left wingers brought in just to give us another option. Unless Taylor Stephen is that option

I don’t think we will splash the cash.  Webb is realistic.

While I hope McCleland’s injury is not as severe as it appears, he will miss time.  Keljtins must be the one missing for three weeks not Raymond.

I hope Olufunwa gets a chance as he has the pace and is capable of bringing the ball forward.  Sanders is not the answer.

Will Levein swallow his pride and play Olufunwa and Sprangler?  I doubt it.

We will need Parker, Steven and others to force themselves into the team.

We can only hope Levein can keep us around Motherwell, Hibs, Ross County while we find a defence.

Honestly? No.

Sprangler does a job, but that entails protecting the back line and playing easy balls to feet of the nearest man.

He is reactive, not pro-active.

MacPherson tonight, was OK.

Merely OK. Normally I despair when he is on the pitch, but tonight. 5.5 out of ten.

Smith by far the best of the midfield 3. Essel has potential but so, so rash going into contact.

I still think Essel looks more comfortable in defence with the play in front of him. Given McLelland's injury I'd shift him back and get a midfielder in.

But I guess Levin/Kirk see him as a kind of project.

5.5 is generous but I get where you're coming from. Think that may be his best at this level. Guess we may find out next season if he's a goid Championship player.

Edit: just seem "Cami's" twitter post. Get out! Never want to see him on our pitch again.

Sidebeh just plays his own game, I wonder if he’s trying to score as many goals as he can before the end of the window to get his dream move. Kimpioka by far the better striker. If we let him leave for a decent fee and spent some of that elsewhere, I wouldn’t be too worried. Particularly as Kirk did more in the short time he was on.

Still Levein has a problem with subs . Like for like because of injury. Carey for Essel because the ref had a word with the caption about another foul seeing him off.

And 2 subs 4 MINUTES to go.

To call Levein a manager is stretching the imagination

He certainly didn’t “manage” the game yesterday at all.

- Sidibeh and Kimpioka ran themselves into the ground while Clark and Kirk waited on the bench

- Matt Smith could hardly walk but was left on for 99 minutes

- Raymond and Essel bookings were not handled at all

Need a new centre half if it’s true McClelland has ruptured his Achilles!

Danny Wilson on a short term deal? Has a Hearts connection, but no idea what he was like in the Championship last season
