tucker
Who's everyone wanting would love Tommy back but can't see it bringing in someone like Liam Craig as his assistant looking at the longer term from taking over in the longer term Leven at Aberdeen did well last season but don't see any obvious candidates at present

Hendo
I've never understood the fascination with former managers and ex-players. I think a lot will depend on what the new owners want for the club in the short to medium term. I do not believe they should or indeed will be looking at a "keep us in the league" option. Now is the time to try something different. Edited September 17 by Hendo Maskrey and KinrossSaint
Cumbernauld Saint
Needs to be experienced who will hit the ground running quickly with a proven track record, someone who is a safe pair of hands… A name springs to mind… In my opinion we cannot really afford to hire a foreign manager who may or may not be a success. Feels like too much of a gamble at this stage. That Glass guy who managed Aberdeen springs to mind. Tried to reinvent the wheel but his team didn’t do the basics and he got the sack pretty quickly. Normally those stylistic and tactical overhauls take a while to bear its fruits and we can’t afford to lose the 6 pointers. But what do I know. With a few more savvy signings, the squad is a decent one to inherit so it’s not a stretch to suggest a few managers would be interested to take the job. Cksaint
Someone who has the team playing decent football what we have missed for the last couple of seasons but as usual it will come down to money Havana Saint

No more of 2014 legends and Stevie May recalled from Livingston and playing up front. It's at the close of play of 2024 soon for goodness sake. Fresh set of eyes on the place and a rebuild, that is imperative. Nostalgia has no place here, a sensible and strategic business decision is needed. One which galvanises the St Johnstone community and an appointment where the manager instills a style of play which is attractive, something we have been devoid of for years. The need for collective patience as fans is crucial over the coming days and weeks. Let's get it right. MySpazz

Fairly sure there was an interview where he said he rejected the chance to stay as it wouldn't feel right after being part of Davidson and MacLeans coaching teams. garydavidson
