Scotsman says he will not be in charge this weekend and future of existing coaching staff is uncertain.

At least we know Gus McPhersons role now but I thought he was head of football operations.

Anyway glad it's sorted and things are looking positive at last.

I was dubious in the beginning, about the club's acquisition by Adam Webb, and the fact that he retained the dinosaur only enhanced that thought. I felt, at the time, and expressed it more than once on here, that not only were we heading down the road to nowhere, but that Perth would soon be without a football club, or that we would be languishing in the nether regions of Scottish football.

I was wrong, and I admit it.

The way Mr Webb has gone about the recruitment of a Head Coach was done in a manner that surprised, and pleased, me. We have transitioned into a club that has a structure and a development plan. He has more plans to enhance infrastructure, and has already made a start.

The shambles of the last 3 seasons is now history. Simo will give the players he has inherited some time to show what they are all about. We, as fans, have already, many times, expressed opinions on the quality, or lack of it, of some who have pulled on the shirt, aka, wage thiefs. The man who pulls the trigger is the only one who will decide on their futures. There may, or may not be a cull, we shall see.

Can't see us getting much against Rangers but we could see us being competitive and combative for a change.

Head Coach, who would have thought?

The Pantomime is no more.

Here's to the future.🥃

£10 per ticket for the Ross Couhty game please. Get the place rocking with a massive home crowd for his first home game.

I would love to see a huge effort to get a crowd in for this game, but not necessarily agree with the price decrease.

We ve saw loads of free tickets given out for Aberdeen and other games, my call would be to these people, you’ve had free tickets, now’s  the time to repay and get to this game.

Footballs expensive, there’s no getting away from that but at some point we have to start getting the attendance up with the people in attendance paying proper price.

It’s no use only getting increased attendance when it’s free or reduced.

£10 is the cost to get into a Highland league game , Jeanfield Swifts are £8, asking  for the tickets to be £10 is just way underpricing our product.

Couldn’t agree more, as much as we are a club, we are also a business.

this appointment is a great move for the club and I hope for some good results, nobody wants to pay £20+ a game to watch us get hammered! Ruins my weekend!

If you showed me the 15 minute interview of Simo and a 15 minute video of Craig Levein, I know who I'd say I'd rather work for.  The guy comes across with genuine enthusiasm and character.

Let's just hope when he talks about potential in the squad he isn't referring to McPherson.

A 15 minute video of Levein? You'd be in a coma after 5 minutes.

Agreed—more like £60 hospitality available.

I don't really mind if Kirk stays or goes. As long as he's not making any decisions.

I'm now thinking that he had a lot more to do with managing the team than previously thought. Especially since nothing much changed after Levein left.

If he's getting told what to do, rather than deciding what to do, then I'm fine with that.

It shouldn't do any harm and it'll save another pay off.

Valakari seems to be the kind of bloke who'll do things his way, and if anybody doesn't agree, then they'll be out the door quickly.

I'm also okay with Cleland. He's been here for the good times as well as the bad.

The players seem to like him, so it'll make the transition much easier.

It's good that we've sorted this out so early in the season.

It gives the new manager a good three months before January to figure out not only his playing staff, but also his coaches.

I'm loving his positivity by the way.

A big change from this "If we stay in the league, it's a bonus" dirge that we've been subjected to for years.

This year, top 6. Next year, we're winning everything.

I'm all in with that.

Loads of tickets already given out to schools etc for this game, so far my grandkids have 8 tickets, so making it a family affair for the game 😋

Good long interview on Saints TV just now - comes across as enthusiastic with a different philosophy and approach than we've been used to. Get the feeling he won't stand for shirkers or anyone not pulling their weight in the squad.

Also confirmation that he applied for the job.

It's good to have somebody in charge who really wants it.
