Stuart Simpson
I just found this site, and from the number of local St Johnstone supporters and fans, hopefully there is a good number of like minded individuals, who are willing to discuss topics of general interest, always respecting others opinions and values along the way. For starters: 1. Do you think the recent hike in the minimum alcohol price by the Scottish Government, will be of any benefit to those looking to reduce their alcohol consumption? Is this not just an extra tax on our family cash flow? This has nothing to do with reducing alcohol dependency or abuse in Scotland, it goes to benefit Holyrood and the Scottish government overspending and misuse of our taxes on the likes of Nicola’s luxury MotorHome, MSP Expenses on ‘fact-finding trips abroad and promoting woke ideology in our schools and society. -> Your thoughts? Keep it clean and friendly towards others. 2. From 1st October most people energy tariff & standing charge prices are rising by about 10%. Most people won’t feel the pinch until the end of November as energy is usually billed in arrears, unless you are on a Pre-Pay meter. Some still on quarterly bills, paying cash in arrears, won’t get the impact until The end of December. How is that going to impact on your lifestyle and cash flow on the run up the the end of the year? What things are you going to cut down, or cut out. (Maybe not the Season Ticket at St Johnstone or the alcohol consumption at the higher prices!) If there was a solution that improved your cash flow, how much would make a difference? A - Nil - we are comfortable and don’t mind paying more! B - Nil - don’t believe any saving is possible! C - £50/m extra every month would make a difference D - £100/m extra every month would make a difference E - £250/m extra every month would make a difference F - £500/m extra every month would make a difference G - I need more to survive, there is already too much month for the money. H - We are already in debt and see no way out.
