Where can I see a list of who is in the Hall of Fame ?

By a search on here there used to be a board listing them inside the main reception, but can't see any online record.

Searching previous announcements shows this as what i think is the full list...

Alistair Stevenson (2025)

Jim Weir (2019)

Dave Mackay (2019)

Buck McCarry (2019)

Jim Morton (2019)

John Connolly (2016)

Dougie Barron (2016)

Steve Maskrey (2016)

Ron McKinven (2016)

Drew Rutherford (2016)

Willie Coburn (2013)

Henry Hall (2013)

Roddy Grant (2013)

Jon Carr (2013)

John Brogan (2013)

Looks like normally four or five people get inducted each time. Alistair Stevenson already being confirmed as one of them, and Tommy is an absolute must. I'd say Spoony has to be on there as well, especially as he never got his testimonial. Potentially Shaun Rooney as the winning goalscorer in two finals? And as much as I hesitate to say it I think Callum Davidson would have to be the fifth one.

I know these are all recent figures in the club's history but I feel there should be a focus in getting our successes of the last decade up on that board. There's so little else to commemorate our achievements and I really feel that needs to be remedied. (Completely on board with the Tommy statue idea too, BTW).

Shaun Rooney is a no for me. He'll forever be in Saints folklore but not to that level IMO. Liam Craig would be more fitting for a modern player.

Wotherspoon and Tommy Wright aye.

Callum Davidson is a definite too, but I think it's better for everyone if they wait a while before inducting him, maybe even a 10-15-20 year anniversary of the double year for that.

And still nae mention o Sam McKenna, worked tirelessly fir Saints, 50s, 60s , 70, ran the aid clubs in the toon, ran supporters buses fir donkeys,  started weekly Saints bingo, similiar tha the lotto today, got Barrossa built, he was Mr St Johnstone

Might be worth emailing the club with his story so they're aware of him.

Agree with all of that apart from the Callum Davidson stuff.

Won the cups with Tommy Wrights team and then relegated us.

Spoony and Tommy 100% should be in.

Liam Craig as well, no other player has as many appearances apart from anything else.

I’m with Random on Callum Davidson, he has to be in but maybe not right now.

I m on the fence with Rooney, there arguments to be made for him though.

Personally I d love to see Stevie May included, I think without him the whole 2014 possibly wouldn’t have happened, I know it a cliche but the May 17 thing, the amount of goals he scored that season, as a fan it was him that gave me the belief we were going to win. He’s also been part of three cup wins.

Could make an argument for Anderson and Alan Main as well, both became record appearance holders at their time with the club.

I wonder if there are any other teams where the record appearance holders have been broken as often in recent times, most record appearances you’d expect to be from the past, I think it’s going to be a long time if ever before ours is broken again.

Anyone think Alex Totten merits consideration? - He brought us through the transition form Muirton to McDiarmid and built the playing foundations for a progressive football club.

I’d agree, I’d also consider Don McVicar, I think a lot of who who we d all consider depends on your age, my first games were around 84/85/86 and wasn’t going regularly until 87 so these guys will always mean a lot to me, other generations will think different. A lot of the current list are guys I’ve only read about.

Theres lots of years not represented at all, nobody really from the squad who finished 3rd in 90s and took as to Europe and Monaco, just Roddy. You could argue Kane, Dasovic and Alan Main all being included.

Yeah, 100 per cent Totten. Saw him at the Falkirk championship presentation. He hasn't changed a bit.

I'd also include Stevie May, who like Spoony, is a three times cup winner. But so was Michael O'Halloran. So does he get included as well?

The best player I've personally ever seen playing for us was Sergei Baltacha, who was so ridiculously above our level it was crazy. He stayed loyal and gave us 3 good years of service while apparently he had offers to go elsewhere for more money.

Is the Hall Of Fame for players and managers only? If not, as has been said, there are plenty people behind the scenes over the years that deserve a mention.

As for the statue with Tommy hugging the cup, I'm sure most of us know the story, but in case anybody doesn't, here's the reason he was hugging the cup like that and why it's so emotional.

Think someone who does so much at the club, while being a local lad, as a player and manager (his name will forever be known as the man who won us the double), simply has to be in a hall of fame. It's not a hall of popularity really.

A shame if he was ignored for those reasons but aye, would be worth another shot.

Alistair Stevenson is going in having never played for us or managed us.

It's just what I think, but I'd like those approaching the end of their lives, who should be included, to be in the next batch. Let them know they're appreciated and included before it's too late.

100% agree with this.

All too often, people are recognised once they've gone. And their family say, "I wish they could've been here to see this".

Liverpool have the Sir Kenny stand, and Manchester United have the Sir Alex stand.

They both still go to games and the stand is directly opposite them, so they get to experience the appreciation.

Geoff thought Barossa was part o the portfolio when he bought Saints, but it has always been a members club, Geoff took the huff, and wouldn't allow Saints players tae represent the Club at any barossa functions.
