I see Griffiths has rejected a call up to international squad to get fit for relegation battle

I see the Saints shop will be closed during the Celtic match. For security reasons or the fact there wont be any Saints fans there?.

Either way it paints a picture.

Who made the decision tae close the shop??

I don't understand the thinking behind closing the shop. Do the staff need to walk through the stand to get out or something?

It's on the corner of the east and Ormond so they would be surrounded with no way out. Would you want to be there with that vermin surrounding you.

It's between the Ormond and East, and that corner will have around 4000 drunk Celtic fans congregating at it.

But remember it was safer to give them the East than have less of them. 100% safer for everyone involved. Absolutely safer.

I'm not trying to downplay the circumstances of an OF game, but how did it get so bad? I was at the Rangers game last year, didn't see any trouble, didn't feel unsafe at all. I understand that the Celtic fans will outnumber us in April, but seriously, are they ALL drunk? Back in my day the OF games were exciting and everyone looked forward to them.

If the shop people expect to feel intimidated by their proximity to the opposition fans then by all means keep the shop closed. But I expect to see Celtic fans all around the stadium, so what is being done by the club to reassure the fans who feel unsafe at home? I'm not one of those fans, and I hope not to be, but I'd like to know what's in place to defend us.

I'm 90% sure kiosks had to be shut in the away stand last season against the OF because grown men decided to try and attack teenage girls.

Our female SLO was assaulted outside Hampden just months ago against the OF.

Why would any Saints fan feel safe around them?

The club don't care about the fans safety, that's not why they done this. It's about making money.

I have emailed the club asking who was on the working party who made the decision, to date nae answer.

Spoke tae Fran today, the decision was taken by, Fran, Adam ,Roddy, Bev, in consultation wae the fans forum. I asked him about what happens if Celtic fans are in the main stand, he said they will be only in the Hospitality seats, if any in other seats action will be taken, says he has been in talks wae Police and stewarding company to ensure  action is taken.

Asked him about the heavy handed action o stewards in their aggressive behavior towards Saints fans in the East stand, he said he was only made aware o this two weeks ago, and has spoken tae stewards and he says he walks round the perimeter monitoring it, and will continue tae do so, So we shall see whit happens going forward.

Also taking Tennants oot the Muirton gives them the option o 3 lagers and is making them money.

Let's hope the Celtic fans in hospitality behave and if not I would hope they would be shown the door.

Did you ask him where and when the fans will know where they will be sitting in the Geoff Brown stand.

Time is running out. Can anyone help the club get out of the mess they have got themselves in with this idea to give opposing fans most of the stadium.

Do they suspend the season tickets for Geoff Brown stand ST holders and make it a free for all.

Do they allocate seats in GB stand to east stand ST holders. Would imagine hard to administer.

Do they allocate 2 or 3 hundred seats to FCU and will this entail GB stand ST holders having to move or put up with drum.

Is there any hospitality? Haven't seen it advertised or are these seats going to be used for east stand ST holders. If no hospitality that's a lot of lost revenue.

I assume you can still buy a ticket for a friend , if so you might not know your own seat if moving from East. You will probably not get allocated a seat for yourself beside guy you sit with every game.

I haven't seen what the clubs estimation is on what the difference is between 3 stands and 2.5. I am sure £75k was quoted somewhere. Is that on the assumption that the Celtic fans will purchase the full ticket.

Is this all worth it for £75k as they have lost the goodwill of a lot of fans. Probably a lot of ST holders and maybe friends will not go , losing out on Bovril sales.

Especially galling after we have made money reaching the cup semi and for the first time in years have some transfer fees.

All this hassle for a fist full of dollars. I can understand the club trying to balance the books after the last few seasons of paying big wages to players to sit in the stand. To piss off your loyal season ticket holders for a few extra bucks is counter productive.

Has or is the new owner putting any money into the club ?.

It’s like we’ve phoned up Flax, asked the mistakes about the Rangers match, then gone “Haud my beer.” If it’s true.

Pretty much this. We still don’t seem to have any level of PR ability. Who’s advising the board? Are the marketing and communications employees having a say in the direction of the club and its messaging? Everything is just coming across as amateur as it’s always been. The club needs outside hires in every department to freshen things up.

Given our current position and need for the club as a whole to be unified, I am really loathe to criticise, but there is no way the club can escape their handling of the semi final and the Celtic home game. It’s been shambolic.

What excuse can there be to not have had the semi final tickets on sale earlier? Hearts have nearly sold 20,000. We all know our numbers will be nowhere near that, but surely they could have been on sale earlier to capitalise on the feel good factor after the win against Livi. For many people, it payday today, so many would have been looking to buy a ticket, but they can’t. I don’t expect the club to keep us updated on every matter, but the lack of communication, barring one tweet in response to a supporter by our CEO regarding the semi final ticket sales is really disappointing.

As for the Celtic home game, it would have been nice if the club to have been a bit more personal in their response. They will have most, if not all, season ticket holders email addresses. It would have been easy to send an email a few weeks ago setting out the clubs position and detailing the financial implications of giving Celtic three stands and then allowing season ticket holders the opportunity to vote on their preferred scenario, instead we get a brief statement. After they made the decision to give them three stands, it would have been more effective if the club emailed all season ticket holders directly to inform them if the process of “purchasing” a ticket for the game, instead yet again, it done via social media in an impersonal manner. The club could have softened the blow by offering a free ticket to a season ticket to bring a friend for one of our remaining home games (was they not mentioned at the start of the season?) or a discount code to purchase merchandise online or in the club shop. Instead it’s just been mistake after mistake.

Its not been a good few weeks for our CEO.

The club have really messed up with this, the ticket sales, and pretty much everything over the last month.

From the timing of the announcement of three stands to Celtic, the day after we get to our first semi final in years, to the lack of communication about seat allocations, and the sale, or lack of, tickets to the game at Hampden.

What a shambles.

Like Aitchy above, I don't want to be negative at a time when we should all be pulling together, but we are paying customers, and the club should treat us as such and give us the respect we're due. We're being taken for granted.

The thing that irks me more than anything, is the fact that when the Saints players run out, they will be met with a sea of green and white, in their OWN ground. What does that do for their confidence?

They should always arrive on the McDiarmid pitch with our supporters straight ahead of them. It surely gives them a boost.

When it happened with Rangers a few years back, I wanted to barf.

They had their banners, scarfs and tifos all over the place, in OUR stand.

And others have made a valid point, if the goal is profit, and we're doing this for the sisters, why are we not giving the likes of Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs, and even the Dundee teams the North and the Ormond?

They could probably fill them out. I should add, I don't agree with that, but it smacks of hypocrisy.

While some people say that Saints are a business and need to maximise revenue, that's a half truth.

Football is an emotive business, it's more than just money. If we were accountants, nobody would care, but we're not.

Supporters put their life and soul into the club, and travel from far and wide to support it.

The club should be thinking about the long game instead of short term profit.

Long after the Celtic game, these supporters will be back to support us against the likes of Brechin and East Fife. Or will they?

Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice, shame on us.
