Ginger Bakers rebel army
We have 16 home games pre split and 17 away. We should be due 3 home games post split. If the league positions stay as now the other bottom 6 teams will be Motherwell, Ross County, St Mirren, Kilmarnock and Dundee. Of those teams we have played Well and County twice at home already and St Mirren, Kilmarnock and Dundee only once at home. We could have 3 home games against the teams in 9th 10th and 11th positions.
GORDON76
Definitely want Killie and RC at home. Really hard away grounds to get results. Cagey
Ginger Bakers rebel army
Hearts were on a point at Hibs but ended up loosing. Bottom 6 now includes Hearts instead of Motherwell. However it should not affect our 3 home games as we would be due a second trip to Tynecastle instead of Well.
Cagey
Its weird league ,probably up to 3 teams in bottom 6 could make the top 6 before split. County more chance of top 6 than play off spot.
RandomGuy
Think, as it stands, this will be our remaining fixtures... Home: Celtic, Dundee, Kilmarnock, St Mirren Away: Hibernian, Dundee United, Motherwell, Ross County ... and ideally we get 10 points or more. Cleveland-Saint
Simon Murray has to be one of the ugliest players ever to don a football shirt..... that said I'd have him on our team in a second. Thats us fuked...... sane_tee
Havana Saint
Very, very difficult. However, we must keep trying. sane_tee
Gekko
I suppose we have to take Simo's attitude to this. No matter what happens, nothing changes. Our defence gives me confidence we can now keep teams out, the opposite of the start of the season, which is the reason why we're in this position. We had Sanders, Cameron and Rae, all with at least one big mistake each game in them. We seemed to have stopped that. Hopefully, it'll be in time. We could do with the strikers to tap into a bit of form. As Cleveland said above, as much as he might annoy you, Murray, or a player like him, would make such a difference to our team right now. We should maybe use Clark more as a late sub, and stick him in front of the opposition keeper. He's the closest we have to a natural goalscorer. Get to the split within touching distance and we have a chance. Then we really have to be at our best each game. Today's result though, leaves you feeling a bit like we need snookers. Oh well, when the going gets tough... Havana Saint
RandomGuy
IMO we need 12pts now, at a minimum. Dundee will win again and that puts them on 34, chuck in a draw or two and you're at 36. 11 ahead of our current tally. Club have chucked away the Celtic game so there's just 3 home games left, and we need 4 wins. So they need to pick up at least 1 away win still. It's still doable but we're on the ropes. SaintJet
SaintJet
Think we just need to concentrate on a game at a time and get wins. It will take a miracle win against Celtic to change the mathematics and logic of our chances of staying up. Damn shame we left it so late to turn into a decent team Gekko
pezza70
Just need to sure it’s not a 6 or 7 goal job against Celtic, we have nothing to lose against them but goal difference could still play a part. COYS keep believing

Gekko
I agree that we need to concentrate on what we can control, and make sure we do our job. In case Dundee, or at an outside chance Killie, slip up. We can't influence what they do, so we need to be focussed on amassing as much points as possible. It's pretty much as simple as that. Even though we didn't win at the weekend, we kept our non losing streak going, so the all important momentum should still be in place. Simo recognises this, which is why he's always going on about " nothing changes". Even though we're focussing on ourselves, there's no doubt that Dundee will have a big say in our final position. We don't have McGhee to save us this time. If they get a boost from the derby win, they could go on a run themselves. Hopefully, it was a one off. Their next game is against Rangers at Dens, so fingers crossed Rangers can continue their good form and knock them back a bit. I also agree that Eremenko would have made a big difference, linking the midfield to attack. I'm sure he would have been similar to Carey in that while he's not as fit and fast as he once was, the important bit of skill he'd have to open up a defence with a pass, or reading the game to our advantage, would have been like the missing piece of the jigsaw. It still irks me that decision.
HOODLUM65
If I'm not mistaken, 21 points at stake after today. 2 games before the split and 5 after. How many points do we need for a playoff?

Cagey
All we need is for something tonight and we are ****ed. 1-0 up in 1 minute by attacking not pishing the ball about at the back.
R.B.B:- Adz
Well that’s it’s then really, we need to beat Dundee and Kilmarnock to even think about staying up. Still think the Kilmarnock implosion is our best hope but a couple of injuries to key players and County could tumble too. Keep the faith! Cagey
At the moment it looks like Killie at home, St Mirren at home , Dundee at home. Motherwell away , and County away. Straight forward , shouldn't be any discussion about the amount of home or away. R.B.B:- Adz, MySpazz and PerthSaint01
R.B.B:- Adz
Well that’ll be that then eh! It’s been a great 16 years in the top flight. I just hope we bounce back straight away and we don’t languish for a couple of seasons and become an also-ran like Dunfermline, Raith, Partick, etc. F*** you Callum Davidson. F*** you Ian Flaherty. Cagey
St Mirren making the top 6 ****s things up. We have played Hearts twice at home so should play them away. Knowing our luck we will be the ones to play an additional away game. Don't know the situation with County and Motherwell.
Strawman
We ve played County, Motherwell and Hearts twice at home. I imagine we ll be home to Dundee and Kilmarnock. They have to give us an equal split of home and away do they not, otherwise there’s a financial disadvantage. I presume one of the three teams we’ve played already at home have an unequal balance as well so will be them. Saw someone suggest it’s Ross County who ll come to us 3 times. Fairly sure we had to go to Kilmarnock 3 times in past.
