They have to give us an equal split of home and away do they not, otherwise there’s a financial disadvantage. I presume one of the three teams we’ve played already at home have an unequal balance as well so will be them. Saw someone suggest it’s Ross County who ll come to us 3 times. Fairly sure we had to go to Kilmarnock 3 times in past. Getting the three directly above us at home would be massive, but would also likely require us going to Well or Hearts and getting a result. We could get a win away to Motherwell quite comfortably. On paper we could get 12pts after the split. I just can't see us actually managing it. I also feel 10 points is the minimum but there’s absolutely nothing stopping one of those teams in 9th, 10th or 11th from failing to pick up anything between now and the end of the season. Ginger Bakers rebel army
There is a maximum of 45 points available split between 6 bottom 6 teams. Some games will be drawn which will reduce the 45. Aim will be 5 wins and 15pts, momentum will be key. First game is must win. We should be at home. I think we will need 3 wins and 2 draws for 10th place.

Tattie-bogle
Frustrating thing is the teams above us seem to regularly take a hammering where we just seem to lose everything by the odd goal
Cagey
Killie , Saints and Motherwell have played 17 away games. Someone will be playing an extra away game, hopefully not Saints. Hearts ****ed it up by not winning yesterday. Fixtures out tomorrow apparently.
HOODLUM65
Dundee have conceded 71 goals compared to Saints 58. We'll need to offer more of a goal threat to progress. Tactics will probably decide our fate. Girut. C.o.y.s.

I've no idea how to calculate it but most suggestions are we'll be at home to County, Dundee, and Kilmarnock. Win all 3 and we've a chance, fail to win more than 2 and i can't see us managing it. But Dundee were so bad today it gives you some flicker of hope they might struggle to pick up many points.

We have to start scoring, not only to win games but to get the goal difference down as relegation could be decided on goal difference. Northern saint
What mindset is Simo going to have in the players? Being cautious yesterday and schoolboys' errors cost us. We need to be on the front foot from the very beginning. Kirk needs a rest. As a sub he may make an impact. Maybe the ghost will prove to be a talisman as the shock of him playing may cause us to play more direct.

dunblanemike
The top Austrian league is similar to ours with 12 teams and a 6-6 split. Difference is they halve each team’s points at the split, not seen a reason why they do that, but if applied here would certainly help us!! They have to work out when to play OF game to cause the least disruption and trouble as well. There is also the problem of who ends up getting 20 away games and a trip to County on a Wednesday night. Aitchy
8 minutes ago, RandomGuy said: This going around twitter. If correct, that would be the best set of fixtures that we could hope for. Ideally we would get Ross County at home first as they are the team I think are most likely to collapse. Club should be working on a deal to try and get as many fans into McDiarmid as possible for these three games. blueheaven
Seriously, how could anyone not like the current league format? This is setting up a brilliant end to the season with some potentially big crowds right across the board. Bollocks to swapping this run-in for a bigger league full of nothingy mid-table matches. henryhallsdanceband, Aitchy, Lifelong Saintee and 2 others
