Cagey
Kirk and Sidibeh were poor today. They should be putting themselves about more. I think I read somewhere hat we have the lowest foul count outside Celtic. Aberdeen were their for the taking but we are missing something. I think is a goal scoring midfielder required. If you don't buy a ticket you won't win the lottery.Apert from Carey non of them want to shoot. 3 points would have been a big boost but going into the break without a loss is probably what we would have taken before the game. Griffith and Benji showed they missed game time. P HOODLUM65
mike_gain
Strange game, never felt like we were going to loose. Aberdeen were poor in the final third and their defence were not keen on balls on the deck in around them.....but we couldn't take advantage, accept maybe once or twice. On the positive side the defence looked comfortable. I don't have enough words to describe just how impressive Mitchell has been. If he were 30 I'd still be impressed but eve at such a young age he was the best defender on the park. Balodis and Doubglas were also excellent. Our issue is again midfield. Much more solid but no creativity. Sibideh and kirk are not target men they need different kinds of balls drilled in. Griffith to a while to get to grips with things but came into it. Sadly Benji won't get a move to Inverurie Locos playing like that. Aye he been out but look disinterested. Hope he kicks that out of himself and gets back o track. Normally, in any other season, today would have been a good result but feel we're passing up too many winnable games. Still Utd do us a favour and things are still in our hands. On another note kudos to the organisers of the pre match fanzone. Simple stuff but was something different and judging by the bins full of bottles the Muirton was popular. Definitely a discussion to ge had regarding the Celtic affair but the current folks in charge are getting a lot right.

Cagey
That will only be a good point if Dundee get beat tomorrow. Killie getting a goal deep into injury time is a bummer. R.B.B:- Adz and garydavidson
SlickDT
Thought it was a fairly neat and tidy game, without any excitement or danger from either side. It felt a very "European" style game to me. Thought Mitchell and Douglas were very good today. Holt continued to work non-stop. Fisher was poor with his feet today, didn't have much to do to keep the ball out of the net. Both strikers were pretty blunt today. Sidebeh was guilty of looking flat-footed at times for me. There was instances when he should of been on his toes and ready to make a run or drop deep for a pass, but he wasn't anticipating what was coming, reacting quite slowly. I do wonder if Kirk/Sidebeh would benefit from having Clark alongside them for a game or two? Someone to try to link up with. Kirk and Sidebeh don't seem to have quite gelled as a partnership yet. Benji came on and looked like a player with the main priority of not being injured ahead of any move in the summer. Can't imagine he will put in much of a shift to help us avoid the drop. Have to wait until tomorrow to find out if it is a point gained or not.

W as this to stop them playing it across the back and giving the fans a heart attack. templeofsaints
Cagey
I left the minute the final whistle went and heard some booing. Was it the Aberdeen fans ?.
Cagey
I think the last 10 mins Saints and maybe Aberdeen as well settled for a draw. Understandable from Saints point of view as every point is a prisoner but it's coming to the point when we have to go for 3 points.

Cagey
Still worried about Simos subs or lack of. Only 3 subs used If you discount Steven for injured Douglas . Benji and Carey only got 18 mins. Moving Duke into number 10 position at one point before being subbed. Surely Clark should have come on at some point. For the first time for a long time we had a decent bench but didn't use them

I really am a fan of Plymouth Argyle who is up visiting his son who lives in Newport-on-Tay. As I am staying in Newport, it's about the same distance to drive to Perth as it is to Arbroath, so I have got myself a ticket to watch them play Dumbarton this afternoon. I wouldn't fancy a trip to Gayfield Park on a really cold day but t's a lovely day for football and at least I get to see a live game. No doubt Arbroath will be one of the games you guys will look out for next season in the Championship. You have shown remarkable patience with our self appointed ticketing police. Had you asked before the away allocation had been sold out you would have got a ticket. anyway, hope you enjoyed the Arbroath game. There is the coldest I have ever been at a football match. Nobody helped because his first post was remarkably similar to a blogger who appeared on here last, who seemed to admit on Twitter he wanted to a ticket so he could get to the Celtic "title party", with the "small club, no fans, what's the problem" stuff. Thanks for your comments, at least there is one St Johnstone fan who isn't paranoid about Celtic fans trying to get tickets. I'm not sure about your comments regarding the away tickets. When I finally got through to the ticket office they told me that Aberdeen had supplied a list of all of the names of their fans who purchased tickets. I obviously touched a nerve when I referred to St Johnstone as a small club, but how else would you describe a club with a fanbase of about 5,000 at most? I have supported a small cub all my life in Plymouth Argyle but I don't have any hang-ups about it. It wasn't too cold at Gayfield yesterday and it was an interesting game for the neutral. You never would have thought it was top v bottom with a 40+ points gap. Dumbarton deserved their point.

Once the away allocation of tickets had been sold then general sale of tickets in home stands stops. Happens for all games and designed to stop away fans buying tickets in home fan areas. Linky
Both teams really poor. Very little flow or attacking threat. Having said that, we were defensively pretty good apart from some dodgy passing at the back occasionally. Douglas was outstanding and Balodis is improving. crieffsaintandy
Big chance wasted yesterday, and the good point chat doesn’t look so good now, while we have tightend up at the back, we just lack the tempo going forward, the play out routine is fine but surely need to mix it up a bit, as seems to cause us more trouble than the opposition does. Hibs and United both winnable but need more urgency and maybe 442. A big plus having Benji back as an option, nothing to lose now.
