SaintJet Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 Not to state the obvious but 'time is running out' for us to save ourselves from the drop. A trip to in form HIbs after a an international break might not be the best opportunity for us to improve our pretty dismal away record but we need to start somewhere. I believe we'll probably stick with the starting line up who fought out a draw with Aberdeen. A win a few hours before Dundee face Rangers would give us all a lift. sane_tee Posted March 24 Report Posted March 24 Unsurprisingly, ticket sales are not looking great. Hopefully a few more shift in the coming days Quote

Saints17 Posted March 28 Report Posted March 28 Feels like most of the team picks itself now if everyone is fit. Think Griffith will come back in to the midfield and Kirk has shown himself to be our most reliable goalscorer over the season so should start up front. It’s probably just the final attacking position up for grabs and it could be any one from Sidibeh, Carey, Clark, Kimpioka & Duke-McKenna. Carey probably merits it the most and, although there is an argument he’s a better impact player at this stage, I’m not sure anyone has shown they deserve to start ahead of him. Hard decision for the manager.               Fisher      Balodis   Mitchell  Douglas  Curtis    Sprangler    Holt    Wright          Carey       Griffith                Kirk Quote
blueheaven Posted March 28 Report Posted March 28 I'd really like to see Nicky Clark start this one. I feel like our forward play has been lacking something over the last few games and I think his experience would be really beneficial in a game like this one. Hearing that he scored a hat-trick behind closed doors in midweek has only reinforced my thoughts on that. I don't really think playing Kirk so far wide on the right has been working and feel we need to try a different shape up front. I posted on the Aberdeen thread that I'd like us to try the following, and I still feel this would be our best team for tomorrow: ____________________Fisher ___________Balodis Mitchell Douglas Curtis ______Sprangler Holt ________Wright ___________________Griffith ________________Clark Sidibeh That would give us some excellent impact options to bring on from the bench, with Kirk, Carey, Duke-McKenna and Kimpioka all potentially capable of coming on and changing a game.   Coltrane, templeofsaints, Willie Peat and 2 others 5 Quote

I agree I though, the forwards against the sheep were Jaded and even Sidibeh lacked energy.  I fancy us to win this I really do - (it's the delusional Saint about me ) a win to keep us believeing for a bit longer. It's the hope that kills you. Willie Peat and sixties saintee 2 Quote
RandomGuy Posted March 29 Report Posted March 29 Line up really picks itself almost. Just pick two from Griffith, Carey, Svedberg, Sidibeh or Kirk (whoever doesn't start), Kimpioka, Duke-McKenna, to play beside Fisher, Wright, Curtis, Mitchell, Balodis, Douglas, Sprangler, Holt, Sidibeh or Kirk. saintee in exile Posted March 29 Report Posted March 29 Not enough up front to win the game.Love to be wrong though Quote
RandomGuy Posted March 29 Report Posted March 29 Think it's one about keeping in control of things early and then opening up and going for it late on if the game allows. Hibs will start fast so you've got to cope with that and earn the chance to have a period on top yourself. Quote
saintee in exile Posted March 29 Report Posted March 29 It's certainly a defensive line up.Heres hoping that pans out and we stay in the game long enough to sneak a late win Quote
