Ginger Bakers rebel army Posted March 25, 2025 Report Posted March 25, 2025 Surprised at the lack of ticket info for upcomping matches. We very rarely seem to have more than one or two matches on sale at any given time. Celtic are selling tickets for our game at McD. but we are not selling tickets for home fans. Loads of folk will have already made their travel arrangements for the semi but no idea when tickets are going on sale. At the very least saints should be telling us when tickets for each game will be on sale. Saints really need to keep us more advised on sales for upcoming matches . blueheaven, sane_tee and Cagey 3 Quote
Ginger Bakers rebel army Posted March 26, 2025 Author Report Posted March 26, 2025 Aberdeen cup tickets went on sale on Monday and Tuesday at various times depending on number of points each purchaser has. Aberdeen general sale opened yesterday afternoon. Hearts have already sold over 10,000. No word on our sales, will be plenty of tickets but why are we not on sale now. Quote

templeofsaints Posted March 26, 2025 Report Posted March 26, 2025 Website not recognising my email address so no ticket for me yet. Although my wife was able to get hers I now need to get that one cancelled so we can get 2 seats together. Oh and nice to see we're not getting the padded seats - so much for an improved/enhanced match experience. 🤬 Quote
Ginger Bakers rebel army Posted March 26, 2025 Author Report Posted March 26, 2025 Extra leg room but otherwise just the same as the East Stand except a hundred or so Celtic fans with as much drink as they want right in the middle. Quote

It was doing that for me too but managed to get around it thanks to the wisdom of @Mizfit Quote

Pretty sure that they dont have my email address registered as the season ticket holder. There were problems a few years ago at renewal cos they misspelt the address. Thought it had been sorted though. I've emailed the ticket office so we'll see what happens Quote
Ginger Bakers rebel army Posted March 27, 2025 Author Report Posted March 27, 2025 Glasgow Times saying our semi tickets now with our ticket provider and should be on sale next week. Quote

Our CEO knows whats going on but cant be bothered to update us fans. Shockingly poor communication, really need to be much better. Simple update would only take a few minutes. Looking forward to going to the game but Hearts now sold over 15,000 for their game and we are stuck in uninformed limbo. Quote

RandomGuy Posted March 27, 2025 Report Posted March 27, 2025 Nice of the club to actually tell season ticket holders they could now buy tickets for the Celtic league game, and not just hope they randomly stumble across the announcement on Twitter. Looking forward to them claiming the lack of uptake in ticket sales backs up their decision. PerthSaint01 1 Quote

Ginger Bakers rebel army Posted March 28, 2025 Author Report Posted March 28, 2025 Celtic selling semi final tickets from this morning in North, South, East and West stands at Hampden. Looks like we will be stuck in a corner somewhere. Lack of info.from saints is poor show. Hearts have sold out their initial allocation of 19,000 and just been given a further 1,000 that will go this afternoon. Aberdeen have sold thousands and now Celtic are on sale. This makes us look like amatures, was expecting much improved communication under the new owner but this is not good enough. Quote

Cagey Posted March 28, 2025 Report Posted March 28, 2025 It just gets worse. Are they deliberately trying to piss of fans or is it purely incompetence or couldn't they give a shit. They will be happy for few Saints fans to turn up at Celtic home game so that they can justify giving away fans 3 stands. Where does it stop. Will United and Aberdeen get 3 stands if they are on a good run. Anyway all academic as it won't affect us in championship. In all my almost 80 years supporting Saints I have never felt so let down . Aye, struggling to get ticket info for national cup semi final in 3 weeks time is grim times indeed. I imagine it's more to do with being promised you wouldn't be moved out your season ticket seat in November and definitely not without consultation, then being moved out it in March without consultation, and then being ignored entirely for a month, then being given 3 days as a season ticket holder to buy a seat (only if you're on social media, as no emails or letters were sent out), then being the only club out of 4 to not be selling or even communicating about semi final tickets. The false hope the club gave out by claiming they'd be better with fans probably makes this worse. At least the Browns never pretended it wasn't money first. garydavidson, PerthSaint01 and PSJ.84 3 Quote
blueheaven Posted March 29, 2025 Report Posted March 29, 2025 Of the four teams remaining in the competition we're going to be the one that struggles most with semi-final ticket sales. In my eyes, that means we're the club that needs to be working hardest to promote the game and get the tickets on sale and make sure the fanbase feel galvanised into buying them. But what's actually happening is the opposite: the other three clubs are selling and promoting their game, while our club seems to be actively refusing to even mention it. I just can't get my head around the logic of that. If there are technical or logistical reasons preventing the tickets from going on sale yet, that's obviously not ideal, but why not keep the fans updated? Actually say that the tickets will be going on sale early next week (or whenever), and have some sort of build up to that happening to grow some excitement. When you add this to the bad feeling that has grown around the handling of the ticketing for the Celtic league game, it's really not good. I honestly feel the club's communication has improved a lot since the takeover, but they've seriously dropped the ball here and they need to learn from that quickly. What we need right now is for everyone to be pulling together and getting behind the team, and if we do go down what the club will need even more is for its own fans to stay on board and keep coming to games and being supportive. Saints need to stop worrying about the Old Firm and start focussing on growing and nurturing the St Johnstone fanbase. None of what we've seen over the last week or so is conducive to that at all and I really think the people involved in making these decisions need to give themselves a good shake and start rebuilding these bridges pretty much immediately.
