May is finished. Ā If he carries on playing it will be lower Championship or League One level. Ā He can’t get a game for Livi.

Granted May has been on bench more recently, alongside Yengi (a player Simo has tried to sign for teams in the past). This has coincided with Livingston being on a good run, so get it.

But he still does the running and scores goals in the Championship - as he has done tonight.

May is more than a goalscorer, links play and is a team player - a trait needed for the Championship.

I would certainly prefer May in our squad rather than facing him next season, but respect your views.

Does anyone know if there is a cash turnstile on my son's friend wants to go and we have season ticketsĀ

Usually one at the scoreboard end of the East Stand. Easy enough to get tickets online too. Ā

100% this. Sadly some people just can't see his value any more because they want him to be the prolific goalscorer he was 10 years ago. That player is long gone but his work rate, link-up play and versatility were missed by us this season and I think he'd be a very shrewd signing for a Championship campaign.Ā

That all said, I don't expect it to happen and think Simo will be wanting to look elsewhere at contacts of his own. I'd be quite surprised if May was on his radar.

I think it is just because he has been poor anytime he got on the park in the latter part of the season. Still got the captains armbands when he came on.

Maybe, but I still think he was poor because he was being used in the wrong position.

Anyone seen the article in todays Courier linking Danish billionaire with Saints?????

Suggestion that because his business is sponsoring our shirts (a choice which probably has nothing to do with him) he might be investing in us - big stretch

It's an article made entirely because Jim Spence has absolutely no idea what else to write about but needs to putĀ somethingĀ out to get his money.

At least it’s not the usual drivel he spouts on twitter.Ā

The reality is that this Danish guy is an astute business man, seriously wealthy and has invested heavilyin Scotland - owns massive estate in Highlands and has been highly supportive of local needs and initiatives, owns and is refurbishing the Jenners building in Edinburgh. He also owns Danish club Midtjylland so has a clear interest in football.

the fact that one of his companies has entered into a sponsorship arrangement with Saints can only be viewed as a positive. It would be irresponsible of Adam Webb if he has not checked out the background and interests of Povland and reached out to him to establish if a deeper relationship is possible…..and who knows he may be willing to invest directly in the club.Ā

Agree 100%, but do you really think Stevie May would want to extend his stay with Saints , given the way Levein treated him.

Levein is not here now, thankfully.Ā  No doubting the way May was treated will have understandably soured his relationship to the club.

With the management change and Simo here, we can only hope Simo has remained in contact with May and attempted to re-build his relationship to the club.

If Simo was watching May last night, he surely identifies May as being an important part of our squad for next season.

I have my doubts Simo will give May a contract and believe that would be a decision he regrets if May goes to a competitor, but here's hoping...

Does anyone think that Docherty (ex-Dundee) is a good manager and might be an option for us if Simo goes?

Had a good first season, but less so this time around. Would imagine he’d go to be assistant at Hearts?

Simo is staying anywayĀ

No time for Docherty. Always moaning, never praising the opposing team and refusing to apologise to Liam Gordon after an accidental head knock to a Coagie player.Ā

This. Always seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. Gave off the same vibes as the likes of ian mccall

Him, and his coaches, spent most of Saturday getting in players ways whenever the ball went out for a throw in near them. Made sure to let the ball roll beyond them instead of stopping it first of course.

Really classy to do that to a 17yo multiple times.
