Not much appetite for this match. However it is a game St.Johnstone need to show up for and try to keep the goal deficit to a minimum.

I hope we can show a bit of spirit and at least try to take the match to Celtic, sitting back and trying to stifle them is inviting another five burger!

I think we need to go with Clark sitting behind Adama and give Kirk a rest.

If we were to pull a win out of this game it would be up there with the biggest Coupon busters of all time.

N.B - can we please keep this thread purely on the footbal being played on the pitch, everyone has floged to death the rights or wrongs of giving up the stands to the Celtic support.

We need points so I think we have to try and get at them.  If we do, they have shown they can have a problem.  This would bring their fans down on top of them.  Goal difference isn't going to make a difference if we don't take any points by being too negative.

For me, the team has two questions to be answered.  The midfield balance is off as we have no creativity.  I'd sacrifice Holt, who is tidy but not creative for someone to come in and provide some ammunition for the forwards.  The Matt Smith of a year ago seemed like the answer but like many the coaching hasn't helped.

Kirk looks to be running on empty so replacing him with Clark, up front, not in a ten or six position should help Adama.

As for gametime subs, unless Benji has been given a rocket and shown in training his mindset is he's going to be the player he was, he shouldn't be on the pitch.  Franz, Steven, Carey come into play.  Often it is easier to play against the better teams as they don't work as hard.

Think it might suit us after the Hibs debacle to just be simple for a game. Back to basics, no lose situation, and try and get any form of positive from this game for one last push in the next 6 games.

It’s not an easy team to pick. There is absolutely no options at the back and Douglas may be out so Sprangler could have to drop back if he wants to persist with a back three. Despite my own opinion on him I’d maybe be tempted to have one last go to see if we are likely to get anything from Kimpioka between now and the end of the season. Give him and Adama a run together up front to try cause some chaos.

Celtic not work hard ? . They are the only team that are full blast from start to finish and not willing to stop at 3-0.

I think I agree with Sprangler dropping back in place of Douglas. We need someone the deal with Maeda and I d ont think Douglas "or anyone for that matter" could deal with him.

I've tried many ways in my head thinking about how we could get something from this game, but in every way, and in every position, they are so much better.

Park the bus, fest a draw, and move on to Tannadice.

If we go for it, they'll tear us apart.

Full Mourinho for this one.

I'm normally the most positive person in the room, but I'm also practical.

Damage limitation from the first minute for me and then move on.

They aren't as good as they've been previously, prone to Rodgers overplaying like we get accused of, and are playing their 2nd choice keeper who's barely played top flight football due to injury to Schmeichel.

All hinges on us scoring first.

Think we can just hope it’s as painless as possible for us Saints fans who are brave enough to go! I had a quiet snigger to myself with all the grumping about moving seats, I don’t care I’ll be watching from behind my seat! As long as we aren’t as pathetic as last week.

Quite right

Results all going against us today, happening all too often, we’re doomed I’m afraid….

Aye that's us gone. Every other team in around us keeps getting the odd win while we loose or get a draw. Need at least 5 wins i feel from remaining games, starting tomorrow......which isn't happening.

Simo has no option but to up the tempo tomorrow. I am a big fan of patient build up but against Celtic that is useless. We have to have a plan B and the time for talking about "one game at a time" is long gone, hopefully the players are being told in private to pull the finger out and have some pride in their careers.

Give the younger supporters a taste of life in the championship (old first division)

I'll need to think hard about a season ticket. We'll likely have a little of Friday night games which i can't make....perhaps more Saturday 3pm kickoff will balance that out.

Really feel for those that will loose their jobs, but to be fair we should have gone down 3 years ago and been spared all the turmoil since.

I'm, just, old enough to remember the last relegation and slogfest the 2nd tier was.

But it's absolutely brilliant when you're actually good down there IMO. Chasing a title just isn't something we'll ever experience in the top flight.

McDiarmid will be a hostile wee place the moro. Premier was good while it lasted, but the broons lack of interest ultimately put us on course for this unfortunately. Can only hope the new owner's truly want the best for us football wise because if not it could be very damaging, bigger teams than us have dropped right through the leagues and not recovered
